How to Get Research Points in Planet Coaster 2

Planet Coaster 2: How to Get Research Points

In the game ‘Planet Coaster 2’, Research Points serve as your main currency, enabling you to acquire new rides, attractions, and facilities for your park. To accumulate Research Points, you should construct a Planet Coaster Workshop initially. You can locate it within the Facilities category of the Build Menu.

You don’t have to hire staff for it, but you do need to connect it to a path. Once open, it will automatically hire a staff, and you’ll start generating a steady supply of Research Points that you can use to unlock new attractions.

Planet Coaster Workshop requires $426.00 to build.

As a gamer, you can easily check out the Research Points you’ve earned by glancing at the panel on the left side of your screen, right next to the Park Rating. A simple click on that points tally will transport you to the Research menu, where all the research options are laid out for you, along with the conditions required to unlock each one.

You can also click the Park Management button (top-left) and access the Research menu from there.

In Career Mode, specific conditions are necessary for unlocking certain features. However, if you’re enjoying the Sandbox Mode, there’s no pressure to advance through Chapters. Yet, remember that you must still unlock previous research to gain access to the newer ones.

Achieving the “Eugene Would Be Proud” accomplishment in Planet Coaster 2 is granted once you’ve unlocked all the research within the game.

In ‘Planet Coaster 2’ currently, you can accrue Research Points by constructing Planet Coaster workshops. Approximately 14 Research points are generated per second for each workshop you have built. As you advance in the game and grow your amusement park, it’s essential to also expand your Planet Coaster Workshops to maintain a steady supply of Research Points and earn profit from newly unlocked rides.
