Many fans of Resident Evil consider Alone in the Dark a classic. The game has a dedicated following, with some players calling it one of the greatest horror games ever made. Though the series has had several sequels, reboots, and remakes, the original three games – currently available for free on GOG – are widely considered the core of the franchise and essential playing for any horror enthusiast.

To use the Stream Your Own Game library, you just need an active Xbox Game Pass subscription – any level will work! It’s best to have a reliable internet connection, too. If you already own the games digitally, or they’re included with your Game Pass tier (Ultimate, Premium, or Essential), you can play them. The library has grown a lot since it started, with 48 new games added in January 2026 and 40 more in February 2026.

Okay, so it totally makes sense why LEGO and Pokémon are teaming up again – it’s Pokémon Day 2026! That marks 30 years since the original Pokémon Red and Green came out in Japan way back in ’96. While we’re getting new LEGO Pokémon sets, nobody knows exactly how many they’ll make at first, or if the awesome Kanto Gym Badges set will come back. Most of us fans don’t think it will, and even when it was available, you could only get it if you bought the big Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set – it wasn’t sold on its own. Because of that, one dedicated fan decided to rebuild the Gym Badges set themselves using different LEGO bricks, which is pretty cool!

No game is flawless, but the first-person games listed here are among the very best. They either pioneered new ideas, refined existing ones, or truly mastered the genre. These games built on the foundations laid by earlier titles and, in doing so, heavily influenced the future of first-person gaming. They’re considered classics because their impact is undeniable, and they simply wouldn’t have worked as well if played from a third-person perspective.
