Colonel Crash is the second-to-last boss you’ll face in the first story pack for Borderlands 4, called Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned. If you’re considering fighting him repeatedly to get better gear, we have the most efficient strategy, and a list of the unique items he can drop, right here.
Colonel Crash offers the Blood Moon Repkit and the Hemorrhage Sniper, but is it worth the effort to get them? You can find Colonel Crash right outside Maelstrom, and we’ve included everything you need to know below.
Colonel Crash Location & How to Beat in Borderlands 4
- Colonel Crash can be found inside the DNC Feuermann, but the fastest way to get here and farm him is through the Maelstrom Fast Travel Station.
- Once in the Maelstrom, turn around and use the exit door to “The Whispering Glacier”.
- Now, turn around again to face “The Maelstrom,” where, to the left of the door, you’ll see a purple rift that will take you back to the boss room’s entrance.
- This is far quicker than using the DNC Feuermann Fast Travel Station in the bottom right corner of the map.
- When it comes to fighting Colonel Crash, you’ll have to watch out for the ads he spawns and his close-range incendiary attacks.
- Colonel Crash’s first health bar is Shield (blue), so use Shock and Radiation.
- For the second health bar, it’s Health (red), so use Incendiary to keep up effective damage.
Colonel Crash Loot Drops in Borderlands 4
| Legendary Item | Type | Special Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Blood Moon | Legendary Order Repkit | Broken Vial – Heals for the last 5 instances of Damage taken within the last 4 seconds. |
| Hemorrhage | Legendary Vladof Sniper | Black Death – Deals increased Damage the farther away the target is. |
The Hemorrhage sniper rifle is a good weapon to have, but it works best when you’re shooting enemies from a long distance. It deals more damage the farther away you are, so it’s not ideal for quickscoping. Keep in mind that it might not be the best choice for boss fights that happen in close quarters.
The Blood Moon Repkit is another powerful, legendary item. It lets you heal for a small amount of recent damage taken over the last four seconds, which could save you in a tight spot. However, it’s not always dependable because other Repkits offer both healing and helpful stat boosts.
