As an analyst with over two decades of experience in the financial industry, I have seen the rise and fall of countless digital currencies, but none quite like Shiba Inu (SHIB). The recent announcement by Robinhood Crypto that SHIB transfers are now available on its platform is a significant step forward for this meme-inspired cryptocurrency.

In a thrilling turn of events, it’s been disclosed that the Robinhood Crypto platform now supports Shiba Inu (SHIB) transactions.

Robinhood, starting from the announcement in October, has consistently added support for numerous digital currencies. Now, users residing in Europe can move cryptocurrency both into and out of their Robinhood application.

Back in December of last year, Robinhood introduced its cryptocurrency trading service, known as Robinhood Crypto, in the European Union for the first time. With this service, users could buy and sell various cryptocurrencies, yet they were unable to move these digital assets off the platform – neither to a different third-party platform nor to their own self-managed wallet.

Robinhood has broadened its regional services to facilitate cryptocurrency transfers such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, PEPE, Stellar (XLM), and most recently, Shiba Inu (SHIB).

Introducing Shiba Inu transfers empowers users with the ability to both deposit and withdraw SHIB coins, thereby boosting the usefulness of the platform for cryptocurrency traders by providing smoother transactions.

As a crypto investor, I’m excited about the recent announcement from Robinhood. For a brief period, they are offering European customers the chance to earn a 1% equivalent of the cryptocurrency they deposit onto their platform. Given that SHIB is now available on Robinhood and its transactions are real-time on Robinhood Crypto, there’s growing anticipation among the community that BONE, the gas token for Shibarium, might also become accessible on the Robinhood platform in the future. This would expand BONE’s functionality to a broader user base.
