Bismuth Ore is a distinctive mineral found in the Crimson Desert, appearing as colorful, cube-shaped formations on mountainsides. You’ll need it to upgrade your gear to tier seven and higher. But mining it isn’t as simple as using a standard Pickaxe – regular tools can’t break the crystallized formations. This guide will show you how to successfully mine Bismuth Ore in the Crimson Desert.
How to Mine Bismuth Ore in Crimson Desert (Rainbow Metallic Cubes)
Okay, so if you’re looking for Bismuth Ore in Crimson Desert, head southwest of Hernand City to the Scholastone Institute. You’ll find a bunch of Bismuth formations all over the mountains around Lake Kharonso there. But here’s the thing – you can’t just mine it with a regular pickaxe! Even my Force Palm skill won’t work on these nodes. You’ll need something special to get that Bismuth!
Bismuth Ore requires either a lightning attack or a standard weapon to be mined. Here’s how to do it in Crimson Desert.
Mine Bismuth Ores with Damiane Heavy Attack
Damiane is a character you can play in Crimson Desert, becoming available near the end of Chapter 3, called Howling Hill. She has special moves and combinations, including a powerful lightning attack. You can activate this attack by pressing R2/RT on a controller, or the Right Mouse Button if you’re playing on a PC.
Okay, so to get Bismuth, you just need to find one of those Bismuth formations and use Damiane’s heavy attack. It’ll call down a lightning strike that breaks the formation apart, and then you can collect the Bismuth Ore that drops! It’s pretty straightforward, really.
Mine Bismuth Ores Using Kliff’s Bow with Lightening-Imbued Shot
As you progress in Crimson Desert, you’ll unlock the lightning element for Kliff, allowing him to mine Bismuth Ores. To unlock this ability, near the end of Chapter 4: The Price of Knowledge, Kliff needs to reach the Sanctorum of Insight in the Abyss by climbing the Spire of the Stars. Once you’ve completed the related mission, Kliff will return to Pywel, but you can quickly travel back to the Sanctorum of Insight using the fast travel point.
Progress past the Sanctorum of Insight, and you’ll need to complete the following Abyss puzzles.
- Secret Garden
- Vault of Vengeance
- Courtyard of Precision
After you unlock the lightning ability for Kliff by finishing the Courtyard of Precision, choose it from the function menu. Then, aim at the Bismuth rocks and use a lightning-charged shot to break them, allowing you to collect Bismuth Ore in the Crimson Desert.
