As a seasoned crypto investor with over a decade of experience under my belt, I must admit that the recent filing for the Canary HBAR ETF by Canary Capital has certainly piqued my interest. While I’ve heard of Hedera and its network, it’s not exactly a household name in the crypto world yet.

As a researcher, I’m sharing an update: Canary Capital, an investment management firm, has submitted an application for a HBAR Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF), signifying another venture into crypto-centric funds within the U.S. market. Although surprising to some, the Canary HBAR ETF represents the company’s continued commitment in capitalizing on the excitement surrounding the incoming Donald Trump administration.

The Canary HBAR ETF – The Odds

In simpler terms, the recent report by Canary Capital has left many ETF specialists in surprise. This is due to a lack of familiarity with the Hedera Network and its environment, which isn’t surprising given that the whole cryptocurrency movement is only now becoming more mainstream.

As a crypto investor, I’ve decided to include Hedera Hashgraph’s token, HBAR, in my portfolio, following Canary Capital’s announcement that they will be holding it. The fund’s Net Asset Value (NAV) will be determined by referencing the price of HBAR in US Dollars, as calculated by Coindesk. Even though Hedera may not be widely recognized in the mainstream market, I believe its potential is worth exploring.

Previously mentioned by Coingape, Canary Capital spearheaded the initiative for a Litecoin ETF, and their latest effort to create a HBAR ETF positions them as one of the most active and assertive managers in the crypto sphere.
