The U.S. currently boasts the largest slice of the Bitcoin hashrate pie, claiming about 38% of the network. Yet domestic miners have faced their fair share of plot twists, mostly thanks to trade skirmishes with China.

China, ever the dominant prima donna, still controls much of the mining hardware stage, with Bitmain and MicroBT playing leading roles in global production.

In March, U.S. miners felt the sting of delays when customs decided to pause shipments over concerns about radio frequency emissions. One might imagine miners clutching their hats and sighing dramatically.
