Yet, ETH hath risen 17.4 percent since the Iran war began, outshining the S&P 500 and gold. A “mini-crypto winter,” he says? Fie! ‘Tis but a summer breeze in this tempestuous market!
Bitmine, ever the shrewd player, hath staked 3.33 million ETH, a tidy sum generating $212 million in staking revenue. Their total holdings, including cash and “moonshots,” stand at $11.8 billion. Oh, the folly of uplisting to the New York Stock Exchange! Yet, they persist, trading under BMNR, with institutional investors flocking like sheep to the slaughter.

They are but a stone’s throw from their target of owning 5 percent of the entire ETH supply. Chairman Tom Lee, ever the wordsmith, dubs ether “the wartime store of value.” Ah, the irony of it all!

BMNR shares, alas, are down 2.25% premarket, mirroring ether’s weekend decline to $2,199. The stock, poor thing, is down 32% year-to-date. Yet, Lee points to ETH’s 17.4% gain since the Iran war began, outperforming the S&P 500 by 1,830 basis points and gold by 2,743 basis points. “ETH is the wartime store of value,” he declares. Oh, the folly of such claims!

“We believe ETH beating gold by 2,743 basis points demonstrates ETH is the wartime store of value,” Lee said, with a straight face, no less.

The company, ever voracious, bought 71,524 ETH last week, maintaining its elevated purchase pace. Lee assures us that ETH is in the final stages of the “mini-crypto winter.” Ah, the sweet promises of crypto prophets!

Staking, the new golden goose, hath become a significant revenue line. Bitmine hath staked 3,334,637 ETH, a sum generating $212 million in annualized staking revenue. Total holdings, including cash and “moonshots,” stand at $11.8 billion. Oh, the extravagance of it all!

The company uplisted to the New York Stock Exchange on April 9, trading under BMNR. Institutional investors, including ARK’s Cathie Wood and Founders Fund, have joined the fray. Lee cites “Wall Street tokenizing on the blockchain” and “agentic AI systems” as tailwinds for Ethereum. Ah, the grand visions of crypto enthusiasts!

Bitmine, the largest corporate ether treasury, ranks second only to Strategy’s 766,970 BTC. Oh, the rivalry of it all!
