Pokemon Pokopia is hosting a new event called Bulbasaur’s Jump Rope Contest! From April 19th to 26th, players can participate for a chance to win special rewards. And, similar to previous events, there’s a way to start playing early!
Pokémon Pokopia has been a huge hit! The game, the first life simulation in the Pokémon series, sold over 2 million copies in just four days. Critics also loved it, giving it the highest score of any Pokémon game ever, even slightly better than Pokémon Y. The teams at Game Freak and Omega Force aren’t stopping there – they’re constantly adding new and exciting things to do with special events, and they have plenty more planned for the future.
Pokemon Pokopia Bulbasaur’s Jump Rope Contest Dates and Times
- April 19, 2026, at 5:00 a.m. though April 26, 2026, at 4:59 a.m. (Local time)
The new Pokemon Pokopia event will feature Bulbasaur and a fun jump rope game! Players can find Bulbasaur near the Pokemon Center and earn prizes by successfully jumping rope repeatedly. You can play this game by yourself or with others, but the rules are different depending on where you are. If you play on a main island, only the person hosting the game will receive prizes, though whoever jumps the most will be recognized as the high scorer for that world. On Cloud Islands, everyone playing can compete for the high score, and the person who wins each jump rope contest will get the rewards.
Following the launch of Pokemon Pokopia on March 5th, the game’s first event, More Spores for Hoppip, allowed players to gather cotton spores and exchange them for picnic-themed rewards. These rewards also attracted Hoppip and its evolved forms to the game world. The upcoming Bulbasaur’s Jump Rope Contest will be shorter and more focused than the initial 15-day event. To start it, players will first need to complete the “Yawn Up a Storm” quest for Slowpoke, located in the Withered Wasteland.
Some dedicated players discovered the Bulbasaur’s Jump Rope Contest in Pokemon Pokopia by changing the date on their Nintendo Switch 2 to peek at future events. While the developers haven’t officially announced all the prizes, those who accessed the event early have found that you can earn rewards after your first jump, and then again every 10 jumps. Reported rewards include useful items like Leppa Berries, Honey, Star Pieces, Large Lost Relics, Rainbow Feathers, Silver Feathers, Pokemetal, and Rare Pokemetal. Plus, completing 51 jumps in a row is said to unlock a special Jump Rope Trophy.

While the current rewards might not be as exciting as before, a big new Pokemon Pokopia event is coming at the end of April! From April 29th to May 13th, you’ll be able to find Sableye and earn special rewards to create a perfect home for this Dark-type Pokemon. If you can’t wait for the event to officially begin, you can use the same time-travel techniques mentioned earlier to jump in right away.
