Pokemon GO Players Think They’ve Solved the Mystery of Where Silicobra Spawns

Man, everyone’s been going crazy trying to find Silicobra in Pokemon GO. It looks like a few of us have finally figured out where it spawns, which is awesome! Pokemon GO has been adding Pokemon from the main games since it launched back in 2016, but honestly, finding them can be super tough. Niantic often makes you jump through hoops to even have a chance, you know?

In Pokémon GO, certain Pokémon can only be found in specific parts of the world. For instance, Kangaskhan normally appears in the wild only in Australia, although the game sometimes offers other ways to get it. Players also need to search for Pokémon in particular environments, like beaches or forests.

Where to find Silicobra in Pokemon GO

In April, Pokemon GO introduced Silicobra as part of its Sustainability Week event. However, the game’s developers didn’t offer much help on where to actually find this Ground-type Pokemon. Players were only told it appears in desert-like areas, which led to confusion about what Niantic considered a desert and where Silicobra would spawn. Researchers at The Silph Road believe Niantic used a 2020 map of world ecosystems from the United States Geological Survey, placing Silicobra in areas classified as having little to no vegetation. Some players have also reported finding Silicobra in sandy locations.

This means you don’t need to live in a desert to find Silicobra in Pokémon GO. You can use the in-game map to locate suitable areas nearby during the Sustainability Week event. When exploring, it’s a good idea to have plenty of Pinap Berries and Incense on hand, as you’ll need 50 Silicobra Candies to evolve it into Sandaconda.

While this information might point to where Silicobra is appearing, it doesn’t guarantee everyone will find one before the event ends. This could be frustrating, but Pokémon GO often makes it easier to catch Pokémon during special events. They’ve previously offered regional Pokémon through Timed Research, and they might do the same for Silicobra. Some players want to find every new Pokémon right away, but being patient can sometimes be more rewarding.
