Your Mii characters will live their lives on the island, chatting and moving around, but they still need your help! You’ll need to make sure they’re fed and help them connect with other Miis to keep them happy – and maybe even find love. If you’re wondering how to check on their happiness and hunger in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, don’t worry – it’s pretty easy once you know where to look, though the game doesn’t explain it fully. Here’s a guide to understanding and checking your Miis’ happiness and hunger levels.
How to Check a Mii’s Hunger and Happiness in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream
You can check how happy your Mii is by pressing the Y button to open the menu, selecting the Mii, and pressing A. Another A press will bring up a menu on the left side of the screen. Look for the ‘Happiness’ gauge near the top – the number next to it shows your Mii’s current happiness level. You increase their happiness by feeding them, playing games, or helping them when they show a scribble emoji. When the gauge fills up, their happiness level goes up, and you can then give them a gift.
You can check how a Mii is feeling on their bio page, but you can also spot if they need something by looking for a scribble icon above their head. This icon appears while you’re exploring the island and in the Mii quick menu (accessed by pressing the Y button).
You can easily see how hungry your Mii is by looking just to the right of the happiness meter on their profile page. There, you’ll find a little stomach icon (highlighted in blue in the image below). When you feed your Mii, the stomach fills up with red to show how full they are. The more you feed them, the longer they’ll stay satisfied.
Your characters won’t get any happier or hungrier while you’re not playing, so feel free to take a break without worrying about their well-being. They won’t starve or become too upset!
Different foods fill up your Mii characters to varying degrees. Just like in real life, sushi is much more satisfying than an apple! If your Miis need more to eat, you can head to the supermarket. They have new food items available every day, and it’s a good idea to try them all to see what your Miis enjoy – they might love it, like it, or even hate it!
So, you can totally share your Mii characters with friends, which is awesome! Plus, I can always tweak how they look if I want, or even just get rid of them from my island if they’re not really fitting in anymore.
