Ubisoft has returned the boobs to far Cry 4 following a mistake which censored the game worldwide.
As a passionate follower, I’d like to share an update on the recent buzz about the supposed censorship of nudity in Far Cry 4 by Ubisoft. In response to our earlier report shedding light on this matter, the official Far Cry account stepped forward to clear the air.
They explained that the update was actually caused by an error in the deployment process. Specifically, content meant exclusively for the Japanese version of the game was unintentionally sent to the worldwide Steam release instead.
They added, “The team has fixed the issue by uploading the correct global files to Steam again. If players encounter any strange occurrences, restarting Steam and checking for updates should sort it out. To put everyone’s minds at ease: there are no intentions of censoring Far Cry. This was a simple regional packaging error that has been completely rectified now. Thank you.
So fear not, boobs have once again returned to Far Cry 4.
In a post on Reddit, Ubisoft community developer Patricia Brochu-Gagné explained that the issue was actually a mistake in a particular version for certain regions, which has since been fixed.
