Though Limbo is straightforward, Inside features a much richer and more detailed world. You control a silent boy in a red shirt who is determined to infiltrate a highly secure facility. The reason for his actions remains a mystery, but his resolve never wavers.
The facility is heavily guarded, and the security gets tougher the further you explore. You’ll face not only guards and dogs, but also advanced surveillance robots and even more frightening dangers. As you delve deeper, the environment becomes increasingly bizarre, and the facility’s purpose remains a mystery, filled with strange experiments and alien technology. You’ll need to solve challenging puzzles based on these unusual elements to progress. Despite being a short game—under five hours—Inside is packed with content, making for a fast-paced experience.

A Gorgeous 3D Platformer With Stunning Multiplayer Integration

There’s a lot of buzz around the game Journey, and many players have already experienced it – and loved it – despite its short length. If you haven’t played it yet, consider this your sign to give it a try. With beautiful graphics and seamless gameplay, it’s well worth the few hours you’ll spend playing.
Journey is a straightforward game where you can jump, run, and make a simple sound – a ‘chirp’ – that’s open to interpretation. You use these abilities to travel across a desert, heading towards a distant, towering mountain. While it feels like a solitary experience, you’re not always alone. Other players can occasionally join you, and the only way to communicate is through these chirps, which adds to the game’s unique charm. They might only accompany you for a short while, or they could journey with you all the way to the end. Either way, these fleeting connections are what make the experience so memorable.

An Autobiographical Adventure Set During Ecuador’s Qualifying Run For The 2002 World Cup

Despelote is a unique game, telling the semi-autobiographical story of developer Julian Cordero’s childhood in Ecuador. The game’s narrative unfolds alongside the excitement of the Ecuadorian national team’s quest to qualify for the 2002 World Cup.
So, in this game, you mostly interact with everything by kicking a soccer ball around – seriously! You can kick it at trash cans, knock over cones, and even pass it to people to trigger little story bits. What’s really cool is how the game tells its story; things just happen in the world around you, which makes it feel super alive. It’s a pretty short game, maybe around 2.5 hours, but it really stuck with me. It got a lot of love from critics and players back in 2025, and even got nominated for an award at the Game Awards for being a great first indie game!

An All-Time Classic Puzzle Game With A Brilliant Central Mechanic

You’ll use this unique tool to solve puzzles that challenge your creativity and reflexes. Portal remains a fantastic game even after almost twenty years, and if you enjoy it, the sequel is considered by many to be even better, though it’s a bit longer.

That might seem limiting, but cooperative games like these are uncommon these days, and Hazelight has really mastered the format. While It Takes Two and Split Fiction are their most famous titles, if you want a fun game to finish quickly, A Way Out is an excellent choice.
In A Way Out, you play as convicts Vincent and Leo, and the game is all about escaping prison and staying on the run with a friend. While the story follows a main path, there are fun side activities like arm wrestling and items to collect along the way. You can play with a local friend on the same couch, or online – and the best part is, your online partner doesn’t even need to own the game thanks to the Friend Pass!
What Remains Of Edith Finch
A First-Person Walking Sim About Uncovering The Mystery Behind A Family Curse

In What Remains of Edith Finch, you explore the story of the Finch family through the eyes of a character returning to their childhood home, just as Edith Finch did before her. Edith, the last of her line, believes a family curse led to the deaths of her relatives. You’ll play as Edith, discovering the secrets of her family’s history within the house. Though relatively short – around 3 hours long – the game is incredibly impactful. How long does it typically take to listen to a full album? Usually around 90 minutes, give or take. That’s about the same amount of time it takes to finish the game Sayonara Wild Hearts. You can even beat it in one sitting, though it’s more enjoyable if you don’t rush!
Okay, so each level in Sayonara Wild Hearts is basically set to a different song, and you race through these amazing, neon worlds, grabbing hearts and taking down enemies. The boss battles are seriously stunning – you really don’t want to skip those! My first time playing, I flew through it, but going back to find everything hidden is hard – it really makes you learn how to play well if you want to get 100%. Honestly, with its incredible music, beautiful graphics, and a super clear vision, this game is one of the most unique and fun ways I’ve spent a weekend gaming. I totally recommend it!
