As a big fan, I’ve been trying to find all the Two-Handed Weapon Challenges – there are six of them, and they’re called ‘Goyen’s Advice’. They’re hidden inside these things called Sealed Abyss Artifacts that you find all over the world. It can be tough to track them down, so I’ve put together a map showing exactly where to find each one. Hopefully, this helps other players like me complete the challenge!
I’m so excited about the Two-Handed Weapon Challenges in Crimson Desert! If you’re like me and want to know how to tackle them all, this guide is a lifesaver. It walks you through all 6 challenges – where to find them, how to actually beat them, and what awesome rewards you get for finishing them. Seriously, it’s everything you need!
You can finish the first three Two-Handed Weapon Challenges using Kliff and a Longsword, which you can buy from shops or blacksmiths. But for the last three challenges, you’ll need to use Oongka, who becomes available in Chapter 7, and a Club or Axe.
How to Get & Complete Overwhelming Slash I in Crimson Desert
- How to Get: Obtained from the Sealed Abyss Artifact located west of Drakesfall Gorge, northeast of the “D” in “Hernand”.
- Challenge: Hit 3 enemies at once with a longsword while your Health is below 50%.
- Reward: x1 Abyss Artifact
To complete this, you need to get your health below 50%. You can do this by letting enemies attack you or intentionally taking damage from a fall – try jumping and using Triple Force Palm. Just be sure your armor is strong enough to protect you if your health gets very low!
First, make sure you have a longsword and that Kliff has one too – you can buy them at any Equipment Shop. When you’re surrounded by enemies, use the Spinning Slash attack (press R1 + X on PlayStation, or RB + A on Xbox) to hit everyone in a wide arc in front of you.
How to Get & Complete Overwhelming Slash II in Crimson Desert
- How to Get: Obtained from the Sealed Abyss Artifact located at the north part of the Golden Gallop Racecourse, which is found north of the first “S” in “Demeniss”.
- Challenge: Defeat 3 enemies with a longsword finisher without taking damage.
- Reward: x1 Abyss Artifact, x1 Insight I
For this challenge, continue playing as Kliff with a longsword. Simply defeat three enemies, one after the other, without getting hit at any point.
To perform a Finisher, press and hold the R1 button to attack an enemy. When their health gets low, your next R1 attack will trigger the Finisher. Remember, Finishers won’t activate with heavy attacks or turning slashes – stick to using the standard R1 attack and well-timed parries.
How to Get & Complete Overwhelming Slash III in Crimson Desert
- How to Get: Obtained from the Sealed Abyss Artifact located on Haunted Hill, south of Hernandian Ruins, between the first “N” and “A” in “Hernand”.
- Challenge: Knock back 10 enemies within 30 seconds with a longsword.
- Reward: x1 Abyss Artifact
This is the last challenge for two-handed weapons, and it’s designed for Kliff, so keep his longsword handy. Getting 10 knockbacks will be simple if you’ve unlocked Turning Slash Level 3, as it can break through enemy defenses and launch them into the air.
Find a group of enemies – you can rescue them from a camp or find them in any safe area. Then, repeatedly use the Turning Slash attack (press R1 and R2 on PlayStation, or RB and RT on Xbox) to push them back. Do this ten times within 30 seconds to complete the challenge.
As mentioned earlier, you’ll need to play as Oongka to complete the next three challenges. This is because only Oongka is able to wield a two-handed club or axe. He starts with a two-handed axe, but you won’t be able to use it until Chapter 7.
How to Get & Complete Ground Shaking Impact I in Crimson Desert
- How to Get: Obtained from the Sealed Abyss Artifact located southeast of Fort Perwin in the Precipice of Echoes, in the far south region of Hernand from the “A”.
- Challenge: Land 30 hits on enemies within 30 seconds with a two-handed club or axe.
- Reward: x1 Abyss Artifact
This task is surprisingly simple and doesn’t cost anything to try in Oongka. Just use the two-handed axe he starts with, and head to an area crowded with enemies – the sanctums on the map are a great choice.
Gather enemies together by drawing their attention, then repeatedly use the R1 and R2 buttons for 30 seconds to land a total of 30 attacks. You don’t need to fight 30 different enemies – just achieve 30 hits within the time limit.
How to Get & Complete Ground Shaking Impact II in Crimson Desert
- How to Get: Obtained from the Sealed Abyss Artifact located on the road towards Skoghorn, which is west of the “A” in “Pailune”.
- Challenge: Defeat 10 enemies with a two-handed club or axe without taking damage.
- Reward: x1 Abyss Artifact, x1 Insight II
During this part of the challenge, continue protecting Oongka and carrying his axe. To make things easier – you need to beat 10 enemies without taking any damage – head back to Hernand. The enemies there are much weaker, so you’ll have a better chance of success.
Find a camp in Hernand that’s being harassed by the Bleed Bandits and needs help. Defeat ten of the bandits, one at a time, by carefully dodging and blocking their attacks so you don’t take any damage.
How to Get & Complete Ground Shaking Impact III in Crimson Desert
- How to Get: Obtained from the Sealed Abyss Artifact located southwest of Torvak Camp, which is directly north of the second “N” in “Hernand” by the lake that leads to Pailune.
- Challenge: Knock back 5 enemies flying at once with a two-handed club or axe.
- Reward: x1 Abyss Artifact, x1 Destruction II
This part of the game can be tricky, but you can definitely succeed with a little practice. First, you’ll need the Quick Swap skill, which you unlock by progressing in Armbed Combat as Oongka. This move lets you perform a sweeping attack by pressing L1 and L2 simultaneously, and it’s great for pushing enemies back.
Okay, so if you want to practice this, head over to an enemy camp – Demeniss is a great spot because there are tons of enemies there, and they usually hang out in big groups, especially before you get too far into the main story. What you want to do is get a bunch of them together, then use the Quick Swap ability (L1 + L2) to knock them back. If you time it right, you can hit like five enemies at once, which is awesome!
