Cyberpunk TCG Has Broken a Kickstarter Record

The Kickstarter campaign for the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game has ended, raising almost $27 million! This makes it the most successful trading card game project ever funded on Kickstarter, far exceeding any previous campaign.

WeirdCo, a Seattle company that says it was built on the strong bonds formed through trading card games, announced its project in mid-March 2026. The announcement coincided with the launch of a crowdfunding campaign for Cyberpunk TCG, which quickly exceeded its $100,000 goal on Kickstarter – in just minutes!

Cyberpunk TCG Breaks Kickstarter’s TCG Crowdfunding Record by Over $11 Million

The crowdfunding campaign concluded on April 17th at 7 p.m. Eastern Time, successfully raising $26,953,978 – almost 27 times its original goal. Even before the campaign ended, Cyberpunk TCG became the highest-funded trading card game project on Kickstarter on April 1st, surpassing the previous record holder, Cosmere RPG. Cosmere RPG had raised $15.15 million with over 55,000 backers during its four-week campaign ending in August 2024. WeirdCo’s Cyberpunk project achieved its success with 47,676 backers.

Good news for backers of the Cyberpunk TCG Kickstarter: everyone will receive the cards and add-ons they ordered, as everything will be printed as needed. WeirdCo is also promising the same for pre-orders placed through official retailers by May 1, 2026. If you’re a retailer interested in carrying the game, you can still sign up through weirdco.net. While some of the higher-tier Kickstarter cards are currently exclusive, most will eventually be available in stores. Backers who pledged $375 or more to get express shipping can expect their orders to arrive in the third quarter of 2026, with a second shipment planned for the fourth quarter.

More Cyberpunk Games Are Coming in 2026

The upcoming collectible card game from WeirdCo isn’t the only Cyberpunk experience planned for 2026. CD Projekt Red also revealed Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome Rush back in March – a unique two-player arcade cabinet featuring replica Yaiba Kusanagi CT-3X motorcycles from their popular game. Players sit on the bikes, which also function as controllers, to compete in a vehicular combat game similar to the Road Rash series – a possible inspiration for the cabinet’s name. Developed with UNIS Technology, a Chinese arcade company, Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome Rush is expected to ship in May 2026, though its price hasn’t been announced.

CD Projekt Red (CDPR) is also creating a board game called Cyberpunk: Edgerunners – Hunted Board Game, which was announced in April 2026 and is planned for release in September 2026. This follows their previous tabletop game, Cyberpunk 2077: Gangs of Night City, which was successfully funded on Kickstarter, delivered to backers in 2023, and then released more widely in 2024. Meanwhile, the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, currently known as Project Orion, is still in development and entered pre-production in May 2025. CDPR anticipates releasing Project Orion as their second or third major title, after the expected arrival of The Witcher 4.
