A player in Pokemon Pokopia created a stunning display of hot air balloons above their village, designed specifically for their Flying-type Pokemon. Each balloon is uniquely decorated to match the Pokemon living inside the floating habitats.
The latest Pokemon game, Pokopia, has quickly become a hit with players since launching just over a month ago. It sold over 2 million copies in its first four days and is now one of the best-selling games on the Nintendo Switch 2. Players have been enjoying the game’s creative building tools, constructing everything from huge structures to detailed underground subway systems. Recently, one fan took this creativity to new heights, filling the game’s sky with a beautiful array of colorful hot air balloons.
Pokopia Player Creates Incredible Hot Air Balloon Habitats
A Reddit user named H2_Red wowed the community by sharing incredible hot air balloon creations in the game’s subreddit. They carefully built three balloons that float above a village, including one designed like a Poke Ball and another inspired by the Drifloon Pokemon. Each balloon features a tiny home in its basket, and one picture shows a Heracross visiting one of these floating habitats. The user also explained that Flying-type Pokemon, as well as Drifloon itself, can actually fly up to visit the balloons.
The design received a lot of positive feedback from other Pokopia fans on Reddit. People particularly loved the idea of using balloons to create themed homes for Flying-type Pokémon, and many were inspired to build something similar in their own games. Some fans even requested the original creator build a Meowth hot air balloon, referencing the Team Rocket balloon from the Pokémon anime. Both the original poster and another fan suggested the balloon designs would be a great addition to the Sparkling Skylands village in Pokopia.
Many players building in Pokopia are choosing to recreate locations from the world of Pokemon. Popular choices include iconic places from the games, like the Bell Tower and Saffron City Dojo, as well as settings from the anime, such as Ash Ketchum’s house. Some builders are even adding real-world establishments to Pokopia, including recreations of restaurants like Olive Garden and Taco Bell.
