Elden Ring movie set videos and photos hit the internet

I’m so excited – we’re getting glimpses of the Elden Ring movie being filmed! It looks like they’re really going all out, shooting on location all over the UK, including Scotland. And get this – they’re also filming in Iceland! I saw the reports about that and it sounds incredible. I can’t wait to see how it all looks on the big screen.

New images and a video highlight Dung Eater, a key character and quest provider in the game. They depict him suspended from the gallows, with leaves swirling around him in the wind.

The series also features a look at Queen Marika, portrayed by Emma Laird, known for her role in Kingstown. She’s seen wearing Marika’s iconic blue dress from the game and walking forward, hinting at what’s to come.

Marika holds the most power in the story because she’s a god of the Numen, the container of the Elden Ring, and the divine leader of the Lands Between.

A new video has surfaced of Kit Connor, known for his role in Heartstopper, on set. He’s wearing a black jacket, smiling at people walking by, and is surrounded by crew members.

The Elden Ring movie will debut in theaters on March 3, 2028, and will be available in IMAX. Director Alex Garland, famous for films like 28 Days Later and Civil War, wrote and is directing the movie. George R.R. Martin, who created the world of the Elden Ring game, is one of the producers, alongside Andrew Macdonald, Allon Reich, Peter Rice, and Vince Gerardis.

The film will feature a talented cast including Ben Whishaw, Cailee Spaeny, Tom Burke, Havana Rose Liu, Sonoya Mizuno, Jonathan Pryce, Ruby Cruz, Nick Offerman, John Hodgkinson, Jefferson Hall, Peter Serafinowicz, as well as Connor and Laird.

Elden Ring came out on February 25, 2022, for PlayStation 4 & 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, and a version for the Nintendo Switch 2 is planned. It quickly became a huge success, selling more than 30 million copies and winning many Game of the Year awards.
