Marvel Rivals Map Wish List

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I’ve seen the evolution of gaming landscapes from pixelated plains to hyper-realistic cityscapes. The launch of Marvel Rivals has undeniably ignited a spark within the gaming community, but as someone who’s been around the block a few times, I can’t help but feel a tad disappointed by the current map pool.

With the debut of Marvel Rivals, gamers have been transported into a fresh interpretation of the Marvel universe, brimming with countless recognizable landmarks. Although these battlefields are enjoyable to navigate, it’s worth noting that the initial map selection for Marvel Rivals is comparatively limited. In truth, there are merely eight distinct maps in Season 0, offering just five unique Marvel settings to discover. Yet, with additional post-release content, the potential exists for this map pool to expand significantly.

As a dedicated gamer, I eagerly anticipate each new season in Marvel Rivals by NetEase Games, hoping for a fresh wave of maps tailored to the storyline. If they deliver, it’d be a dream come true to explore iconic Marvel settings transformed into thrilling 6v6 battlefields. From the franchise’s crown jewel city to obscure locations yet to be discovered, the possibilities seem endless.

Marvel Rivals Has Many More Unique Locales it Could Adapt

New York City is the Central Hub of the Marvel Universe

It’s surprising that Marvel Rivals didn’t debut with maps inspired by the iconic city of New York City, which has been home to numerous characters such as Spider-Man, the Avengers, the Defenders, and Moon Knight for many years. Its omission is reminiscent of leaving out Gotham City in a Batman game, so let’s hope it gets included in a future update.

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but get excited about the potential transformations New York City might undergo in various game maps! Imagine leading a Convoy through the lush greenery of Central Park, or embarking on a thrilling mission to claim Time’s Square as your own. The possibilities don’t end there; you could even find yourself soaring to the heights of the Avengers Tower or Sanctum Santorum! If NetEase brings its signature creativity to the table, then who knows what unique twists and turns these maps might take?

Knowhere or Ego Could Give Players a Guardians of the Galaxy World to Explore

It would be fitting for the Guardians of the Galaxy characters to also have a map themed around them in Marvel Rivals, given that many of them are part of its roster. Among the numerous planets NetEase could choose, it’s recommended they prioritize Knowhere or Ego the Living Planet. Both these locations have significant roles in comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, making them ideal for creating intriguing maps that would provide an enjoyable gaming experience.

As a space-loving enthusiast, I can’t help but get excited about two potential gaming destinations! Firstly, there’s Knowhere – a colossal celestial skull transformed into a cosmic station, governed by the wise telepathic canine Cosmo. This incredible base has been the operational hub for the Guardians in both comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, making it ripe for NetEase to craft an array of one-of-a-kind, space-themed maps.

Latveria Seems Like the Perfect Fit for Marvel Rivals’ Story

Maps from the secluded European nation of Latveria, led by the villainous Doctor Doom in Marvel comics, might be introduced. This small but heavily scientifically-oriented country is often under oppression and depends greatly on its ruler’s pursuits. Given that Doctor Doom is the main adversary in the Marvel Rivals universe, it seems fitting to include Latveria as a map location. Although it may not debut in the first season of the game, it could mark the climax of several seasons worth of content.

In various scenarios, numerous other maps could excel in the game “Marvel Rivals.” Imagine battling within the X-Men Mansion or Krakoa, exploring unique planets like Xandar, or even duking it out on mobile arenas such as the Avengers Helicarrier. These locations could expand the horizons of “Marvel Rivals” significantly. Since Marvel Comics have been around for 85 years, NetEase should have an abundance of locations to develop for quite some time.
