You can earn all of the Aphelion achievements during your first time playing the game, if you know where to look. Some are simple, like finishing each chapter, but others will challenge your climbing, stealth, and exploration abilities.
This guide covers all 30 of the Aphelion achievements and how to earn them as you progress through the story. If you happen to miss an achievement, don’t worry! You can always replay missions after finishing Chapter 11.

| Echo Seeker | Find the hidden Echo in “The Onyx Forest” chapter. | This hidden Echo is found after escaping from Nemesis and the cave in Chapter 4. When you use your Pathfinder outside the cave, you’ll spot a Cave Secondary Marker. Head to this cave to find the Echo hidden inside. | Gold |
| Absolute Zero | Freeze to death 3 times in “The Storm” chapter. | Ariane will freeze to death in the Equatorial Storm if she does not take cover in time. By standing in the middle of the storm, you can easily die from cold exposure. Do this three times to get the Absolute Zero achievement. | Bronze |
| Orpheus | Cross the river without dying in the “The Styx” chapter. | This achievement refers only to the part of the “Styx River” chapter after Ariane jumps into the river. Steer through this section without dying to get the achievement. | Silver |
| First Contact | Find an Echo. | This achievement will be unlocked by following the story. | Bronze |
| The Right Frequency | Interact with an anomaly. | This achievement will be unlocked by following the story. | Bronze |
| Novice Glaciologist | Interact with a strange ice sculpture. | This achievement is unlocked by using the EM Scanner on one of the Ice Formations in the game to get a Glyph. We recommend doing this in the second chapter, as the Ice Formation with a Glyph is right next to the starting point. Approach the Ice Formation while using your EM scanner, adjusting the frequency as you did for your first anomaly. Afterward, interact with the Ice Formation to unlock the achievement. | Bronze |
| Cliffhanger | Perform 15 Perfect Grabs in a row while climbing. | Successfully perform 15 grabs while climbing without stumbling or falling. While the 15 jumps must be consecutive, they don’t all have to be performed during the same climb. Doing several perfect, shorter climbs will fulfill the achievement. | Gold |
| High-wire Act | Perform 3 Perfect Balances. | Walk across three thin bridges without falling or nearly falling. | Silver |
| Call of the Void | Die 20 times from a fall. | Die 20 times from falling, including jumping off ledges and dropping off walls into holes. | Bronze |
| Augmented Reality | Use the Navigator for 2 consecutive minutes. | Activate the Navigator and leave it activated for 2 minutes straight. | Bronze |
| Distraction Master | Lure the Nemesis away with Decoy Anomalies 10 times. | Activate Decoy Anomalies around Nemesis 10 times. | Silver |
| Whisperstep | Escape the Nemesis Arena without being detected. | The term Nemesis Arena refers to the cavern in Chapter 7, “The Storm”, where Ariane must sneak around Nemesis. To escape the arena without being detected, you’ll need to constantly activate the arena’s Decoy Anomalies and remain crouching the entire time. Successfully escaping from the arena without Nemesis hearing you will grant you this achievement. | Gold |
| Killed by the Nemesis | Get Killed by the Nemesis 10 times. | Get killed by Nemesis at least 10 times while playing Aphelion. Your deaths in every mission are included in this number. | Bronze |
| Crew Expendable | Find all of the Project Aphelion crew members’ bodies. | Unlocking this achievement requires you to find and examine all five Project Aphelion crew members found in the story. To get the achievement, you must fully interact with each body to learn their identities and their deaths. If you miss even a single piece of dialogue, you won’t earn the achievement. Players will find the bodies of each crew member in the following locations: Marcus Macallan’s body is in Commander Leary’s quarters in Chapter 6. Marcus Springs’ body is in the Greenhouse of Chapter 6. After walking down a long corridor that ends in a left and right path, take the left path to find him. Frank Leary’s body is in the room to the left of the Archives’ oxygen tank in Chapter 8. Domenica Cano’s body is in the small building Ariane enters on her way to the Nexus in Chapter 9. Phaedra Duan’s body is found on the ledge next to the snapped rope in Chapter 10. | Silver |
| Nice Try | Fail the commander’s door code 3 times in a row. | This achievement refers to the lock on Commander Leary’s door in chapter 6, “The Base”. When you find this door, go ahead and put in a random number three times. We used “444444” to earn the achievement. | Bronze |
| Bookworm | Find all Audiofiles and Datapads. | Find all 18 Audiofiles and Datapads hidden throughout the game. | Gold |
| Expert Glaciologist | Find all Glyphs. | Find all 8 Glyphs hidden in the game. | Silver |
| Webb | Find all secondary markers with the Pathfinder. | Find all 27 hidden markers using the Pathfinder. | Gold |
| Pioneer | All Aphelion achievements unlocked. | Complete all 29 of the other Aphelion achievements to unlock this final one. | Platinum |
Having trouble with the Bookworm or Expert Glaciologist achievements? The mission select screen now displays exactly how many audio logs, data files, and Glyphs are still hidden in each level. Just select a mission, and the number of collectibles will show up right on the screen.
