As a gamer, it really worries me that even if I buy a physical game these days, a lot of them still rely on online features that eventually get turned off. It got me thinking about which games might not be playable in the next few years, maybe by the time the next PlayStation comes out around 2030. Things like licensing deals – we saw what happened with Marvel Rivals – or even just music rights, like with Rocksmith+, can cause games to disappear digitally. Let’s look at some of the reasons why that could happen.
