FIFA Fans Have a Treasure Trove of Options, While F1 Lovers Get Two Solid Collector’s Items

As a huge soccer fan, I’m really excited about the LEGO sets coming out on May 1st! They’re releasing sets featuring players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Mbappe, and Vinícius Júnior, which is awesome. With the World Cup happening this summer, it’s the perfect time to get these sets and celebrate. The World Cup is such a massive event – it only happens every four years – and LEGO is really tapping into that excitement. Because the tournament is so rare, these sets feel like a special addition to any LEGO or sports collection. I’m definitely planning on grabbing a few!

Lionel Messi is scheduled to get a third LEGO set, but it won’t ship out until June 1.

LEGO’s F1 Sets Demonstrate How Sometimes Less is More

As a huge F1 fan, I’m really excited about these new LEGO sets! There are only two dedicated F1 sets in this wave, but they’re awesome additions for any serious collector. And it’s not just these – LEGO released the F1 Academy Race Car back in March, and now you can even build replicas of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton’s helmets! It’s a fantastic time to be an F1 and LEGO enthusiast, giving us so many ways to show our love for the sport.

Toy Story Fans Have a Trio of Great LEGO Sets to Check Out

Everyone from children to parents and Pixar enthusiasts is excited for the new Toy Story movie. Although Toy Story 5 isn’t released until June 19th, LEGO is letting fans start the fun a month early with three new building sets. These include a detailed Lotso figure for display, a practical Slinky Dog bookend set, and a charming Little Green Alien in a Pizza Planet rocket – perfect for families and devoted fans to enjoy building together.

What’s great is that these three LEGO sets come at different prices, so there’s something for every budget. While some LEGO sets can be quite pricey, these Toy Story options are affordable. Overall, the LEGO sets releasing on May 1st are reasonably priced. The most expensive of the bunch is the Slinky Dog Bookends, which cost $150.

Original LEGO Series Get Some Love, Too

While LEGO is known for popular franchises like Toy Story, FIFA, and Formula 1, they still offer plenty for fans of their original creations. One standout is the Botanicals Rocking Plants set – it includes two flower pots with rounded bottoms that gently rock back and forth. This charming set is a fun addition to LEGO’s Botanicals collection and appeals to builders of all ages.

LEGO is releasing a new series of collectible minifigures! Series 29 includes 12 unique characters, each with at least one accessory that matches who they are. Here’s a look at the 12 minifigs in this new release:

  • Marine Biologist
  • Soccer Goalkeeper
  • Tuba Player
  • Unicorn Elf
  • Robot T. Rex
  • Monster Hunter
  • Boba Cup Fan
  • Chocolatier
  • Bionicle Cosplayer

LEGO Insiders can actually purchase it even earlier, starting today, May 1st.

We’re looking forward to seeing what LEGO releases for the rest of the year! There have been some interesting rumors and leaks about upcoming sets, but it’s best not to take those as confirmed. Luckily, LEGO has already put out a lot of fantastic sets to enjoy right now.
