The latest update to Crimson Desert, version 1.05.00, introduces a new legendary creature: the Mountain God Boar. Finding this rare animal requires a unique method – you’ll need to damage trees in the Pailune region, as detailed below.

To summon the Mountain God Boar, you’ll need to chop down trees all over the Pailune area. Once you’ve destroyed enough trees, you’ll anger the Boar, which will start a boss battle. We’re sharing our tips on how to summon the Boar and a complete guide to beating it.

How to Find the Mountain God Boar in Crimson Desert

  • The Mountain God Boar will only spawn in Pailune once you destroy enough trees.
  • We went to Odeck, north of the Silver Wolf Mountain, as there was an abundance of trees to destroy here.
  • The fastest way to destroy multiple trees at once is through Explosive Arrows, which you can get an infinite amount of with this guide. Failing that, just use a Logging Axe, attack them with your swords, or use Force Palm.
  • Eventually, enough trees will force the Mountain God Boar to spawn, which begins a secret boss fight.

How to Beat the Mountain God Boar in Crimson Desert

  • The Mountain God Boar is a fairly standard boss fight, and you only really have to worry about his forward charges, which are easy to read and dodge as he will raise his front legs before he does it.
  • The Mountain God Boar does have allies, and we managed to take care of them easily with Turning Slash, along with Volcanic Eruption (and other Flame abilities to burn them).
  • You mainly just want to keep up with your dodges and spam Turning Slash along with other fire abilities until the Mountain God Boar dies.

The Mountain God Boar doesn’t drop any unique items, and currently, you can’t ride it like you can with other legendary creatures such as the Polar Bear and Silver Fang.
