Need help beating Turbines in ARC Raiders? This guide will show you everything you need to know to defeat these massive ARC enemies. We’ll cover their attacks, where to hit their weak spots, the best weapons to use for maximum damage, and how to predict when and where they’ll appear on any map.
This guide will help players easily obtain Turbine Compressors and gives them a chance to find the rare Powered Descender blueprint by searching the dangerous ARC cores.
How To Beat Turbine in ARC Raiders
Okay, so Turbines are these huge, cone-shaped enemies – kinda like Assessors, but way tougher. They switch between different modes, and honestly, when they’re flying, that’s when you really need to watch out. They’re super dangerous and can take a ton of damage in that form – seriously, they’re the tankiest when they’re up in the air.
Trying to harm it while it’s flying is pointless because its vulnerable area remains hidden, and you’ll just be wasting your efforts. Also, when airborne, the turbine can unleash a powerful lightning attack that instantly destroys attackers.
The Turbine attacks by launching three canisters that split into lightning rods and fall around players. Anyone within 250 meters will immediately become a target, even if they weren’t initially fighting the Turbine, so be cautious when it focuses on someone else.
Okay, so I’ve learned the hard way that if lightning starts striking, you have to get inside a building, and quickly! But it’s not enough just to be in a building – you need to stay far away from all the doors and windows. Apparently, lightning can travel right through openings, and if you’re too close, you’ll get shocked – seriously, it can electrocute you! It’s a bit scary, but now I know what to do.
During its second phase, the machine enters a standby state, emitting a loud siren, and releases a spread of mines that scatter across the area. It then touches down, and as it lands, the Turbine’s rotors open, revealing its core. This is when you can approach and attack, but proceed with caution: the mines deal significant damage and will detonate if you get within 10 to 15 meters.
Best Weapons To Damage Turbine in ARC Raiders
To really hurt the Turbine, use Deadlines while it’s not moving. Place them on the spinning cylinders in the middle – those are its vulnerable spots – and quickly move to a safe distance. It usually takes about three Deadlines to completely destroy it.
Trying to fight the Turbine with a Light Shield is a bad idea. Even a Medium Shield might not save you if you get hit by lightning. Your best bet is to use a Heavy Shield, but bring a backup – it won’t last through many hits, probably only two or three.
If you use Bettina to damage the plating around the Cylinders in the Core, the Turbine will take more damage next round. Players will have a short time – about 10 to 12 seconds – to attack it before it rises into the air. Continuing to attack the Turbine while it’s airborne will keep it floating. After losing focus, it will take 15 to 30 seconds for the Turbine to come back down.
Players can work together to attack the Turbine’s weak spot from a distance. Using either Jupiter or Hullcracker is effective. If two players coordinate, using four full rounds of Hullcracker – which equals 40 impacts on the Weakspot – will destroy the Turbine. Each round uses 5 Hullcracker ammo per Raider, and with two Raiders firing, that totals 40 impacts.
Destroying Jupiter’s weak spot is tricky. Some players can break it with 10 to 15 accurate hits, but others have managed to do it with fewer than 10. It all comes down to how precisely and at what angle you hit the rotating cores. Right now, the Hullcracker appears to be the most reliable weapon for this.
Wolfpack Grenades don’t work well against Turbines because their armor is the strongest of any ARC enemy. Trailblazers can be effective, but you need to use them carefully.
When Does Turbine Spawn in ARC Raiders?
Turbines appear randomly during ARC Raiders matches, but you’re more likely to find them around the 18, 15, and 10-minute marks. Each of these times increases the odds of a turbine spawning.
Okay, so the fastest way to take this thing down? Definitely get a group together – a few dedicated players are perfect. Then we need to coordinate our attacks, hitting it hard when its weak spot is exposed. We only get a short window before it flies up, so timing is everything! Basically, teamwork and quick reactions are key.
Turbines frequently appear in pairs or groups of three, which significantly increases the danger they pose. When multiple Turbines cluster together, they create larger minefields and a higher chance of being hit by devastating lightning strikes, especially for players who are flying and don’t take cover.
The Turbine that appears every 10 minutes is the most challenging to defeat. It usually takes 5 to 7 minutes, leaving players with just 3 minutes to reach an evacuation point, like an Evac Elevator or Raider’s Hatch.
