On December 17, 2024, the Pokemon TCG Pocket unveiled its initial mini-set following its global debut. This expansion, titled “The Themed Booster Pack of Mythical Island,” introduces a fresh group of cards, with Mew serving as the highlight Pokemon.
There are two key things to know about expansions in Pokemon Pocket:
- Each set has its own Pack Point memory, meaning the points you’ve accumulated in the Genetic Apex set can’t be used in, for example, the Mythical Island set. However, you won’t lose them; they will remain available in their respective expansion’s pull menu.
- You can still pull from previous expansions, even after a new one is released. So, if you’re not interested in the Mythical Island packs, you can still use your Hourglasses or resources on the previous set, Genetic Apex.

The Island of Myths expansion for the game is about 70% smaller than the original Genetic Apex expansion in Pokemon Pocket.
