Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Players Aren’t Happy After Paying for Broken Weapon Blueprint

Summary

  • A weapon blueprint in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is unusable without an optic sight, putting players at a disadvantage.
  • The Occult blueprint for the PP-919 submachine gun cannot be used without an optic sight as the camo’s floating blue fragments are directly in front of the iron sight.
  • Black Ops 6 players have had the exact same issue with another weapon blueprint earlier this month.

As a dedicated Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 player with years of battlefield experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a tad frustrated when I encounter these types of issues. The latest debacle with the Occult blueprint for the PP-919 submachine gun is just the tip of the iceberg in a long line of similar problems that have been plaguing our community.

Players of Call of Duty: Black Oops 6 are displeased upon discovering that a weapon blueprint for the PP-919 submachine gun is ineffective once its optic sight is removed. The Occult blueprint, which can be found in both Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone as part of the Dark Practitioner bundle, offers an array of cosmetic items. However, it seems there’s a significant bug with one of the included blueprints; if used, this bug could put players at a severe disadvantage due to its inoperability.

It’s not the first instance where the Call of Duty community has found a significant problem with one of Black Ops 6’s weapon blueprints. Recently, a player on the Black Ops 6 subreddit demonstrated an annoyance: the Salutations BlackCell blueprint for the Saug SMG features a bothersome flame in front of the weapon when the attached optic sight is removed. Although the gun functions well with an optic sight, many players prefer to customize their blueprints and remove the sight to equip alternative attachments.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Player Angry After Purchasing Broken Blueprint

In the past few weeks, the weapon blueprints for Black Ops 6, particularly the Occult one for the PP-919, have sparked debate again on Reddit. The user Still-Experience3419 has highlighted this issue. This blueprint can be purchased for 2,400 COD Points as part of the Dark Practitioner bundle, and it initially comes with an optic sight. However, if you remove the sight, the weapon becomes nearly unusable due to floating blue fragments appearing directly in front of the iron sight during gameplay, making it extremely distracting and obstructive for players during gunfights, as demonstrated in the video below.

In Call of Duty, blueprints provide players an instant way to access weapons that already have specific attachments added, along with exclusive camouflages not available elsewhere. Blueprints were initially presented in the 2019 Modern Warfare remake and have since gained prominence. However, the over-the-top camouflages included with these blueprints have ignited debates regarding Call of Duty’s questionable cosmetic items and skins due to their increasing unreality.

Despite numerous issues with broken weapon blueprints and ongoing debates about the game’s cosmetic items, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has proven to be a major triumph for publisher Activision and developer Treyarch. As reported by Activision, Black Ops 6 has set new records in the Call of Duty franchise, boasting the highest number of players, hours played, and matches within the game’s first month since its launch.
