ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition out now on mobile devices

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent traversing virtual worlds, I can confidently say that the release of ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition has sent ripples of excitement through the gaming community. Having dabbled in its PC and console counterparts, I’m thrilled to see this expansive, dinosaur-filled adventure now available on my mobile device.

The collaborative duo, Grove Street Games and Snail Games, have officially declared that the ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition is now available on mobile platforms as of today.

This game was collaboratively developed with Studio Wildcard, and currently, it’s available for free download on both the Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android).

The publisher announces: “This fresh, complimentary rendition of ARK offers a colossal dino-themed mobile journey equivalent to the ARK: Survival Evolved experience available on PC’s and consoles. This includes all ARK Expansion Packs – Scorched Earth, Aberration, Extinction, Genesis Parts 1 & 2, and the popular Ragnarok community-created map, along with others. The aim is to provide countless hours of gameplay. Soon, ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition will be available on the Epic Games Store’s mobile marketplace.

Ultimate Mobile Edition offers a vast universe to discover, where you can not only interact with more than 150 dinosaurs and ancient creatures but also train them. It features complex social dynamics in multiplayer mode, plus crafting and building experiences. This game raises the bar for what’s possible on mobile devices regarding graphics and functionality. The app is now live, including the original ARK Island Map, Scorched Earth, and Aberration expansion maps. All remaining expansions are set to be released by the end of 2025.

Ark: Island Adventure: In this open-ended game, players find themselves shipwrecked and stranded on a mysterious island with nothing but their wits. They must learn to hunt, gather resources, create tools, farm crops, and construct shelters to stay alive. Players utilize their intelligence and resourcefulness to hunt, tame, breed, and ride the dinosaurs and ancient creatures that inhabit the ARK island. From the dense jungles of prehistoric times to the advanced tech-filled chambers of a spacecraft from another world, each vast environment is ripe for exploration, either solo or with others online.

Although it’s free to play, there is an option called “Ark Pass Subscription” that costs $4.99 per month or $49.99 annually. This subscription grants access to all current and upcoming Expansion Packs, as well as monthly bonuses. Alternatively, the publisher offers the choice to buy each Expansion Pack and its individual features separately.

  • Scorched Earth Expansion Pack: This entirely new land is composed of six unique, desert themed biomes – dunes, high desert, mountains, canyons, badlands and oasis – each with their own aesthetic and ecosystem. Use skills honed on ARK’s faraway Island to kill, tame, breed, and ride the fantastical new creatures that have evolved to survive the Desert’s ultra harsh conditions, including… DRAGONS! Travel back and forth between the Island and the Desert to team up with hundreds of players across both worlds or play in single player mode.
  • Aberration Expansion Pack: Waking up on ‘Aberration’, a derelict, malfunctioning ARK with an elaborate underground biome system, survivors face exotic new challenges unlike anything before: extreme radioactive sunlight and environmental hazards, ziplines, wingsuits, climbing gear, cave dwellings, charge-batteries, and far more, along with a stable of extraordinary new creatures await within the mysterious depths. But beware the ‘Nameless’: unrelenting, Element-infused humanoids which have evolved into vicious light-hating monstrosities! On Aberration, survivors will uncover the ultimate secrets of the ARKs, and discover what the future holds in store for those strong and clever enough to survive!
