Call of Duty Is Once Again The Best-Selling Game of the Month

As a seasoned gamer with years of gaming under my belt, I can confidently say that the gaming industry continues to astound me with its ever-evolving landscape. The latest sales data for November 2024 has been revealed, and it’s no surprise to see Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 holding its ground as one of the best-selling games yet again.

Another month gone by signifies another month where Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 remains atop the list of top-selling video games.

According to Industry analyst Mat Piscatella, the gaming industry’s sales data for November 2024 shows a decrease of 7% in U.S. consumer spending on video games, hardware, and related items when compared to the same period in 2023. However, overall spending so far this year is nearly identical to what it was in 2023.

Last year’s Call of Duty release, Modern Warfare III, came out in November, whereas this year’s version was launched a month earlier in October.

Despite the gloomy outlook, there’s a silver lining. The spending on non-mobile video game subscriptions increased by 8% after “Black Ops 6” was made available on Xbox Game Pass. So far in 2024, “EA Sports College Football 25” has been the year’s top-selling game, with “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6”, “Helldivers II”, “Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero”, and “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III” following closely behind in that order.

Apart from a few adjustments caused by holiday shopping, there hasn’t been significant change compared to last month. Newcomers such as “Mario & Luigi: Brothership“, “Dragon Quest III“, and “My Sims: Cozy Bundle” have made their way into the top 20.
