Fortnite OG Sees the Return of Renegade Raider

As an avid Fortnite player with over 5 years of gaming under my belt, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and frustration upon hearing the news about Renegade Raider’s return. On one hand, it’s fantastic to see one of the game’s original skins making a comeback. The nostalgia is strong, and the thought of donning that iconic outfit once more brings back memories of my early gaming days.

The popular game Fortnite has brought back two iconic character skins – Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper – which can now be purchased from the Original Season Store.

Renegade Raider Returns to Fortnite

Following its debut in the initial season, the extremely rare Renegade Raider skin is once again available in the Fortnite Item Shop, priced at 1,200 V-Bucks. However, you need to unlock it prior to making a purchase. The Original Season Shop has recently been updated with four new items: the Aerial Assault One Glider, the Aerial Assault Trooper Skin, Renegade Raider Skin, and Raider’s Revenge Pickaxe. Each of these items requires a certain amount of XP to be accumulated before they can be purchased.

  • Aerial Assault One Glider – 500 V-Bucks (unlocked by collecting 500,000 XP)
  • Aerial Assault Trooper Skin – 1,200 V-Bucks (unlocked by collecting 1,000,000 XP)
  • Renegade Raider Skin – 1,200 V-Bucks (unlocked by collecting 1,500,000 XP)
  • Raider’s Revenge Pickaxe – 1,500 V-Bucks (unlocked by collecting 1,500,000 XP)

Furthermore, the initial proprietors of Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper, originating from 2017, are set to receive a special gesture from Fortnite. This includes obtaining an exclusive design for both skins in spring of 2025. All newly introduced cosmetics will be withdrawn from the item store on January 31, 2025, providing players ample time until then to accumulate the necessary XP.
