So, after the huge Riven Tides update dropped last month, the folks at Embark Studios just pushed out another patch for ARC Raiders – it went live on May 5th. It’s mostly bug fixes and general improvements, which is always good to see. I just downloaded it on my PlayStation 5, but it’s also available on Xbox Series X/S and PC. Plus, they added some new cosmetic items to the store, so I can customize my Raider even more!
The latest update for ARC Raiders, called Riven Tides, concludes the game’s planned Escalation content. It added a new map set along the coast and introduced the Turbine, a powerful new enemy robot. The Turbine is large and cone-shaped, and only attacks if provoked—but it packs a serious punch when it does. Riven Tides also included general improvements, bug fixes, and some gameplay balance changes that weren’t universally popular. Just a week after its release, Embark has released another patch to fix a few issues introduced in the April 28th update.
ARC Raiders Releases New 1.27.0 Update
Good news, fellow Raiders! Patch 1.27.0 is live on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and it’s packed with fixes and improvements. I just downloaded it myself! They’ve squashed a bunch of bugs, like the Turbine’s attacks being hard to see from a distance, and tweaked how visible proximity mines are. Plus, they’ve made the Turbine land way better – no more getting stuck in trees, thankfully! If you’re into customizing your Raider, there’s a new Corsaro Set in the store for 1,600 Raider Tokens, and you can snag the Mutton Chops facial hair for just 500 Tokens. Definitely worth checking out!

The May 5th update for ARC Raiders includes many improvements and fixes. A particularly frustrating bug that caused unavoidable deaths has been resolved. Previously, players couldn’t drop carried objects or defend themselves when attacked by Ticks, leading to certain death. The latest update from Embark now allows players to drop those items and fight back when attacked while carrying something.
Okay, so the recent Riven Tides update really upset a lot of us fans with some big changes to weapon durability. Seriously, after the update dropped, people immediately started a petition to get them reverted! Now, common weapons lose a huge 75% of their durability with every shot, and even uncommon ones lose 50%. It’s gotten to the point where we’re constantly repairing our weapons after each match, which is super annoying. The developers haven’t said if they’ll actually change things back, but they did put out a message saying they’re looking into balancing adjustments. They want to get it right, so we’ll just have to wait and see what they come up with.

Embark Studios hasn’t announced when new updates will arrive, but they have committed to supporting the game for the next ten years. Hopefully, we’ll see a roadmap for 2026 revealed soon. The studio has also promised several new maps will be released over the next year, giving players plenty of fresh content to enjoy.
