This vast sum of crypto was shifted from one unknown blockchain address to another. At the present XRP/USD exchange rate of $2.13 per coin, this massive amount of XRP is worth an astounding 1.07 billion US dollars in fiat currency. In 2021, XRP has shown a remarkable price surge, rising from $0.6 in December to nearly reaching $3 at one point earlier this month.

According to information provided by the Bithomp explorer specializing in XRP transactions, it appears that the transaction was orchestrated by the prominent Ripple blockchain company. Every first day of each month, Ripple tends to move approximately 1 billion XRP in a series of scheduled withdrawals from their escrow account.

Generally speaking, Whale Alert typically shows multiple transactions, but today it spotted just one enormous transaction instead.

30 million XRP goes to top Korean exchange

It was further disclosed by Whale Alert that an extensive quantity of cryptocurrency, specifically 30 million XRP, was moved to the prominent South Korean digital currency exchange, Bithumb.

30 million units of XRP represent approximately $64,034,753 in traditional currency. This substantial amount of XRP was recently transferred to the mentioned platform from an unidentified digital wallet.
