Dragon Ball: Will There Be A Fusion At The End Of Daima?

Summary

  • Join Bugs of the Demon Realm allow users to fuse into more powerful warriors.
  • Uncertainty lingers if the fusion will produce Vegito, Gogeta, or an entirely new character.
  • Fans anticipate a potential fusion between Goku and Vegeta in the climactic finale of Dragon Ball Daima.

In the beginning of “Dragon Ball Daima,” we find Goku, Shin, and Glorio venturing through the Third Demon World. Along their journey, they encounter numerous intriguing individuals and locations. The Demon Realm itself is a captivating place, brimming with thought-provoking ideas that leave many across the larger universe baffled. One of the most striking examples of these peculiarities is the existence of bugs, which can be purchased and eaten.

In the Demon Realm, there are numerous bugs with distinct colors, each representing special abilities like replenishing stamina or healing wounds. Yet, what sets them apart are the Join Bugs, enabling two users to merge temporarily into a stronger warrior for a limited time. Could it be that Goku and Vegeta might combine their powers in Dragon Ball Daima? Let’s find out!

How Will This Join Bug Fusion Work?

Vegito, Gogeta, or Something New Entirely?

First Appearance Dragon Ball Daima, Episode 4, “Chatty”
Debut Date November 1, 2024

From my vantage point, it’s no secret that the multiverse houses two colossal warriors, Vegito and Gogeta – both manifestations of Goku and Vegeta when they fuse. These characters are powerhouses, each boasting an identical level of strength. Their individual traits, however, set them apart.

Vegeta’s prideful demeanor is evident in Vegito, while his combat style leans towards raw brawling. On the other hand, Gogeta embodies a more refined fighting technique and exhibits Goku’s gentle spirit.

In terms of power, they are equally matched, but their distinct features lie in their design and character traits. This raises an intriguing question: what exactly is behind the “Join Bugs” and the fusion that results from them? As of now, these bugs have not been seen again in any subsequent episodes, leaving us to ponder the nature of the fusion they create. At present, it remains a mystery whether the fusion born from the Join Bugs is Vegito, Gogeta, or something entirely novel.

Will Daima Show A Brand-New Fusion?

The Possibilities Of A New Goku-Vegeta Fusion

Many spectators believed that Goku and Vegeta were about to merge their powers when they paused on the Third Demon World to collect the Join Bugs. Since the Join Bugs were included in the storyline at all, it suggests that a fusion might be imminent. What fans are eagerly anticipating is not if the fusion will happen, but rather when it will take place.

A significant scene, eagerly anticipated by fans, seems to be saved for the climax of the series. In this finale, our heroes are expected to confront Majin Duu and the remaining troops of Arinsu. Although Majin Duu and Arinsu’s forces are currently portrayed as the main adversaries in Daima, it’s plausible that a completely new villain could emerge, surpassing the strength of previous enemies. For now, however, it appears that the final battle will probably involve Goku and Vegeta clashing with Majin Duu and Arinsu’s forces, potentially leading to their fusion.

This confrontation might pave the way for an unusual alliance between villains, as Majin Duu and Majin Kuu could merge into a single entity. This merged warrior would possess immense power, much like Majin Duu, and intelligence, a trait demonstrated by Majin Kuu in Episode 11. A villain with the strength of Majin Duu and the intellect of Majin Kuu could prove to be an overwhelming challenge, potentially surpassing even Super Saiyan 3 Goku and Vegeta in power. This formidable foe might compel the Saiyans to consider fusion as well.

The climactic battle is poised to be spectacular by necessitating a combination of Goku and Vegeta’s powers through fusion. This long-awaited fusion, with both characters reaching Super Saiyan 3, has been a subject of great debate among fans for quite some time. Previously, Vegeta was unable to utilize this transformation, but the series now presents an opportunity for its resolution.

This day has made it all clear. You are better than me, Kakarot. You are the best.

Nevertheless, there are several factors that suggest a fusion might not occur during the Daima finale. One of the main reasons is that Majin Duu hasn’t demonstrated any abilities or powers that necessitate a fusion for their defeat, especially since Vegeta overpowered the second Tamagami with relative ease in his Super Saiyan 3 state. If there are plans for the villains, it seems they would require a significant power-up for Goku and Vegeta to face a genuine challenge.

Dragon Ball can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
