Fidelity surpassed BlackRock in Bitcoin ETF investments, as they attracted more inflows to their Bitcoin trading platform.

7th January Update:

– Bitcoin ETFs saw a net inflow of 8,238 Bitcoins (approximately $828.97 million) with Fidelity contributing 3,625 Bitcoins ($364.8 million), now holding a total of 209,135 Bitcoins worth around $21.05 billion.
– Ethereum ETFs had a net inflow of 33,780 Ethereums (approximately $122.72 million) with iShares (Blackrock) contributing 33,618 Ethereums ($122.14 million), now holding a total of 1,114,423…

The Bitcoin ETF saw a net increase of 8,238 Bitcoins worth approximately $828.97 million, with Fidelity contributing a significant portion of this. Fidelity wins by BTC but loses by ETH inflows

On January 7th, @lookonchain reported a significant $828.97 million influx into spot Bitcoin ETFs, equivalent to 8,238 Bitcoins. The largest portion, 3,625 Bitcoins worth approximately $364.8 million, was taken by the Fidelity Wide Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC). This was the day’s most substantial inflow, surpassing even BlackRock’s IBIT with its 2,047 Bitcoins worth around $200.76 million. BlackRock was then followed by Ark 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB), which received 1,495 Bitcoins on the same day.

In recent weeks, Fidelity has surpassed BlackRock in terms of weekly inflow of Bitcoin, with a total of 7,972 BTC compared to BlackRock’s 955. Interestingly, BlackRock experienced significant outflows of Bitcoin last week and earlier in December – these were the largest outflows since the ETF’s launch.

Currently, Fidelity holds 209,135 Bitcoin equal to roughly $21.05 billion.

Today, more Ethereum flowed into the BlackRock ETF compared to Fidelity’s inflows. Specifically, it absorbed 33,618 ETH as opposed to Fidelity’s 1,250 ETH, making a total of 33,780 ETH in overall inflows. Right now, BlackRock’s ETF holds approximately 1,114,423 ETH worth around $4.05 billion.
