Olive branch to XRP holders from Peter Brandt

Veteran commodities trader Peter Brandt extends an olive branch to the XRP community, inviting them to either embrace or decline his gesture.

Brandt openly acknowledged that over time, he’s delivered some harsh comments towards the community and the XRP currency. He further admitted that the rebuke he received in response was at times justified, occasionally impolite, and on other occasions amusing and inventive.

He chose to clarify the reasons behind his past critiques directed at XRP and its owners. Looking back on his early days as a trader in his career, he recognized the significance of preserving his assets. Consequently, he often criticized XRP’s significant drops of 80%, 90%, and even up to 97% in value relative to Bitcoin, which he regards as “the benchmark for wealth storage.

As an experienced trader, Brandt firmly believes that persistently holding onto a speculative asset that has depreciated by 90% compared to a more stable one is an act of folly, which he terms as the epitome of insanity. For him, XRP exemplified this situation. What struck him as even more irrational was repeatedly clinging to XRP, hoping for different outcomes each time.

It is not XRP/BTC crashes Brandt made fun of

The trader clarified that it wasn’t the “thrilling ups and downs in XRP/BTC” he had mocked, but rather the “dogmatic, boisterous, and frequently incomprehensible defense expressed by XRP holders during times of significant paper losses.”

Or simply:
He clarified that he hadn’t made fun of the volatile XRP/BTC exchange, but rather the overly confident, noisy, and often hard-to-understand arguments made by XRP holders when they were facing large unrealized losses.

According to Brandt’s statement, when he criticized, it was specifically the attitude he aimed at, neither the XRP community as a whole, nor their dedication to enhancing their own lives, that was under fire. Now, Peter Brandt expresses his delight in seeing the XRP army prosper.

He stated: “I wouldn’t criticize your achievements, just your stance on defending significant drops in XRP, given its generally stable nature. That was his final comment regarding XRP on social media.
