Kanye West Turns Down $2 Million Scam Offer—Is He a Hero or Just Smart?

So, here we are. Kanye West, or Ye, whatever you want to call him, is telling Coinbase’s big cheese, Brian Armstrong, to steer clear of middlemen. Why? Because he just turned down a $2 million offer to promote a total scam. I mean, who does that? 😳

On February 7, Ye took to X (formerly Twitter, because why not change the name every few years?) to spill the beans about this ridiculous proposal. They wanted him to trick his followers into investing in some shady crypto project and then play the “my account was hacked” card. Classic! 🙄

Ye, in his infinite wisdom, said, “Nah, I’m good,” and cut ties with the scammer. I mean, who knew he had a moral compass? This whole thing just shines a light on how celebrities are constantly being targeted by these crypto con artists. It’s like a bad episode of a reality show. 🎭

“I was proposed 2 million dollars to scam my community. Those left of it. I said no and stopped working with their person who proposed it,” he tweeted. Wow, what a stand-up guy! Or maybe he just realized he could make more money selling overpriced sneakers. 🤷‍♂️

So, the plan was for him to hawk this fraudulent crypto to his 32.6 million followers and then act like he was a victim. Brilliant! The scammers would cash in before anyone even knew what hit them. It’s like a magic trick, but with money! 🎩💰
