In a matter of days, on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, the next chapter of “Berserk” is due for release, as we previously announced. It has been revealed that the forthcoming issue of the “Young Animal” magazine will feature not one, but two colored pages from the series.

Furthermore, it’s been announced that the upcoming volume, Berserk Volume 43, will be available in Japan on August 29, 2025. This release will include a special edition featuring a Zodd statue. In North America, this manga is published by Dark Horse Comics.

When Is The Next Chapter Out?

After the publication of Chapter 379 on Valentine’s Day, we can expect Chapter 380 to be released a week afterwards, specifically on February 28, in the same periodical.

Berserk Still Going On After Kentaro Miura’s Death

Creator of the acclaimed series “Berserk,” Kentaro Miura, passed away in 2021 at the age of 54. His unexpected demise left a deep impact on both fans and close acquaintances alike. Given that “Berserk” is a significant work for numerous artists worldwide, various mangaka and artists paid homage to him with heartfelt tributes.

His passing cast doubt on the continuation of the series, as some fans eagerly awaited the author’s plans, while others felt it wouldn’t be the same without him. The final installment penned by Miura was Volume 41.

Following several months, and after discussions with Miura’s family, Hakusensha decided it was time to reinitiate the manga. Now, the production is being handled by former assistants and trainees from Studio Gaga, which has been taken over by Koji Mori, a long-time assistant and confidant of Miura who knew about his future plotlines and ideas for the story. Some fans were pleased with this development, but others remain skeptical that it’s worth continuing.

Since then, the series has experienced numerous pauses – it appears the team meticulously strategizes the future direction of the manga, ensuring it maintains the quality and narrative consistency expected. Additionally, they may need regular consultations with the family for approval to progress the series smoothly, which could contribute to delays.

Due to its unpredictable release pattern, it can be perplexing for fans to follow along with each new installment, since the timing isn’t consistently clear, and there are occasional pauses in the series.
