Just announced are four new Squishmallow plushies based on characters from Sonic the Hedgehog, including updated designs for Amy and Shadow. This news comes as a delight to Sonic fans who have had quite a bit of excitement recently. In the past year, we’ve seen successes like Sonic X Shadow Generations and the live-action Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie. The fast-paced Blue Blur and his companions show no signs of slowing down, with the upcoming game Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds expected to shake up the multiversal race track later this year following its announcement at The Game Awards 2024 in December.

The Sonic the Hedgehog franchise has not only produced numerous video games but also a variety of merchandise such as Squishmallows. Since 2023, characters like Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy Rose, Dr. Eggman, Shadow the Hedgehog, Metal Sonic, Big the Cat, a Dark Chao, and a Santa-themed Sonic have been made into round, plush toys, similar to iconic Pokemon characters from multiple generations. These Squishmallows based on the Sonic universe now encompass a wide range of beloved characters for fans to collect.

Four fresh 14-inch Squishmallows based on “Sonic the Hedgehog” can be found on Amazon for $24.99. These new additions are variations of characters that have been previously introduced. The first pair includes Knuckles and Shadow, who are shown with the blue and green Chaos Emeralds respectively, and display different facial expressions. Tails is depicted holding one of Sonic’s life-giving Rings, while Amy is shown carrying a yellow flower.
