From the moment you begin to explore the world of Avowed, you’ll find yourself presented with numerous decisions at each turn. Though the impact of these decisions may not be immediately life-altering, they can significantly shape the final result of a quest and the treasures you collect along the way.

For side quests such as Precious Light, it’s crucial to note that there are various spots where you can deposit the Luminous Adra. Here’s a breakdown of the top decisions you should consider for maximum returns.

Where To Get Precious Light Quest

If you’re going through this manual, it seems likely that you’ve already got the Precious Light quest in your quest log and are searching for a way to conquer it. But if you haven’t, don’t worry! You can locate it by making your way to Paradis City.

Looking at the city map, you’ll notice a side mission directly over the label “Southern Paradis”. Venturing towards that spot and conversing with Sapiento de Falva will initiate the quest for you. This task involves tracking down some Luminous Adra for a specific NPC.

How To Get The Luminous Adra

After chatting with Sapiento, you’ll be directed to interact with a few Non-Player Characters (NPCs) in Paradis, whose locations are indicated on the map. Following these conversations, you’ll discover that the smugglers have headed to Castol’s Folly island, located at the southern tip of Dawnshore. It is here where you will retrieve your Luminous Adra.

  • Approaching Castol’s Folly, you’ll observe that the entire island is enveloped by colossal walls with limited entry points. If you aim to gain access, you should begin your journey at the wreckage of a ship on the northwestern tip of the island.

    Reach the peak of this vessel, and you’ll find yourself able to leap towards the rock formations on the opposite side, which will guide you to a route. Travel along this route for some distance, and you’ll encounter a handful of smugglers who will need to be dealt with.

Preparing yourself well is crucial as you’ll encounter numerous challenges on the way to Luminous Adra. It would be wise to make sure that all your equipment is of top-notch quality for this journey.

  • After subduing the initial group of smugglers, proceed along the path and make a left turn once it forks. Ahead lies another challenging skirmish before you can advance further down the path and eventually reach your destination.

    You’ll find Captain Trevik here and he’ll make you an offer for the Luminous Adra.

What Should You Do With Luminous Adra?

At this point, the challenging segment of the journey unfolds as Captain Trevik discloses that they’ve swiped Captain Bardatto’s Radiant Adra for Sapiento, but unfortunately, it’s no longer in their possession. Now, Bardatto is making demands to have her Luminous Adra returned, and it’s up to you to decide how to respond and handle the situation.

If you choose to either deliver the Adra to Bardatto or simply take care of it for Trevik, he’ll let you have it peacefully without a fight. However, you also have the option to engage in a battle to obtain it if you prefer that route. Be aware that this battle will be tougher than any you’ve faced thus far.

If you aren’t wearing top-quality equipment for this battle, it will be extremely hard to win – that is, unless you decide to make the challenge less demanding.

As a gamer, here’s how I would put it: When you face off against Trevik for the Adra, not only do you stand a chance to defeat him and claim the Adra, but also snatch some additional goodies from his fallen form. Then, if you hand over the Adra to Sapiento, you’ll be rewarded with 300 currency and The Fantastic Alembic trinket. Alternatively, if you choose to take a peaceful route and seize it from Trevik, you can either pass it on to the captain or deliver it to Sapiento.

The rewards from the latter will be the same, while the captain gives you two options:

  • She can either leave Trevik and his crew alone after getting the Adra.
  • Or you can get 500 currency payment from her for the Adra and she’ll likely kill Trevik after.

As a gamer, I’ve got two options here: I can take on the captain if I want to rescue Trevik without handing over the Adra, but that won’t net me much extra loot aside from a Bloodstone gem. The route with the most rewards in this quest is defeating Trevik and giving the Adra to Sapiento.
