Approximately a decade after its debut, it’s been announced that the popular Netflix series “Stranger Things,” produced by Matt and Ross Duffer, will conclude with season 5 this year. In 2023 alone, viewers spent an astounding 52 billion minutes watching the show, demonstrating its enduring popularity among fans.
Over the course of this series, viewers have seen the actors mature from youngsters to adults, taking on various roles outside of Stranger Things. For instance, Noah Schnapp lends his voice to Charlie Brown in Peanuts, Gaten Matarazzo stars as Michael in Honor Society, and Millie Bobbie Brown plays Enola Holmes in the movie franchise. The show’s mix of ’80s nostalgia, gripping dark storyline, and exceptional ensemble cast have contributed to its success. As season 5 nears, Stranger Things fans are granted a unique opportunity to catch a glimpse of their stand-ins on set.
Stranger Things Behind-The-Scenes Image Shows What Cast’s Body Doubles Look Like

On Reddit, a fan has shared an uncommon backstage photo from Stranger Things, displaying the body doubles of the main characters who closely resemble the show’s actors. Tucked under a tent during takes, fans can spot the stand-ins for Mike Wheeler, Will Byers, Lucas Sinclair, and Dustin Henderson. Interestingly, it appears that Eleven and Max’s body doubles are absent from this particular shot. Given that many of the cast members were minors throughout Stranger Things’ production, their safety was paramount, particularly during fight scenes.
Earlier, Hiro Koda, the show’s stunt coordinator, shared with Metro that several stars are eager to perform their own stunts. Among them are Joe Keery (Steve), David Harbour (Hopper), and Darce Montgomery (Billy). These actors have expressed a desire to participate in their fight scenes as well. Koda mentioned that David Harbour, specifically, prefers to observe a professional stunt performer first, just to see it done correctly, before taking on the action sequences himself.
More recently, Sadie Sink, known for her role as Max in “Stranger Things”, shared that she couldn’t help but secretly take a few set items as keepsakes when the show wrapped up, due to her emotional state. Among these mementos were Max’s famous Walkmans, shoes, and even her skateboard – all iconic props from the series. In addition, Sink is set to appear in a musical film titled “O’Dessa” which will debut at the South by Southwest festival on March 8th, 2025. Regarding the future of the characters in “Stranger Things”, season 5, some fans have come up with an intriguing theory about how each main character’s story might conclude.
Currently, you can watch all four seasons of Stranger Things on Netflix. The fifth season is slated for release in the year 2025.
