It appears Ripple, with a deft hand and a sly wink, may have engineered Solana’s inclusion to make XRP seem less like a pet project and more like a team player in the crypto game.

Altcoins’ Ascension to the Throne Room

Unchained reports that the grand poobahs at Ripple Labs, perhaps in a fit of strategic brilliance or sheer panic, decided it wouldn’t do to have the President’s reserve look like a one-coin show. Thus, they allegedly whispered sweet nothings into the ears of policymakers about the necessity of a diverse crypto bouquet. 🌹

Commentators, ever the killjoys, suggest Ripple’s move was as subtle as a sledgehammer to avoid the appearance of bias. After all, who wouldn’t want the impressionable masses to believe in the neutrality of Solana and Cardano, when XRP has been as controversial as a fox in a henhouse?

But wait! Solana’s co-founder, Anatoly Yakovenko, seems as keen on a government crypto reserve as a cat is on a bath. In a refreshingly candid moment, he expressed his preference for no reserve at all, or at least one not run by the feds—because who better to safeguard decentralization than the government, right?

“My reserve order of preference

No reserve, because if you want decentralization to fail you’d put the government in charge of it.
Or states run their own reserve as a hedge against the fed making a mistake
Or if there has to be a reserve, it’s based on objectively measurable requirements. … If there is a target to beat, the solana ecosystem will get it done.”
