The Superstar Mode in WWE 2K25 is more focused, revolving around one wrestler at a time. However, if you ever feel like you’ve had enough of nurturing a single champion, you’re free to switch to another favorite star.

In the Classic mode, you’ll find greater control over customization and flexibility, but mastering every aspect requires patience. Yet, interestingly, using the Money in the Bank to challenge for the title proves to be a complex task in both modes. This tutorial will walk you through setting your MITB holder and cashing it in with various actions in WWE 2K25.

Cashing In The Money In The Back In Superstar Mode

In this Universe Mode, you can choose a standout wrestler and guide them towards WWE championship glory. Although it offers a more structured experience compared to the traditional mode, it’s much simpler to execute the Money in the Bank Rivalry events by following these straightforward steps:

This Universe Mode enables you to lead one exceptional wrestler on their path to WWE championship victories. Compared to the original mode, it provides a more streamlined experience when it comes to executing Money in the Bank Rivalry actions with ease using these simple instructions:

Switch To Classic Mode

  • On the Superstar Universe Mode Home screen, select Options.
  • Switch the Current Playstyle to Classic Mode.
  • Select the next show that your main character that your chosen Superstar is in and Edit Matches.
  • Delete or edit one of the match slots on the card.
  • Choose a one-on-one match with the wrestler you want to use in Superstar Mode.
  • Press the R3/RS button to switch the title match on.
  • Press the accept button and choose MITB.
  • Then select Save.
  • You can choose to play or simulate the match.

To quickly acquire the Money in the Bank briefcase for your character, simply choose the “Simulate” option followed by selecting your preferred character.

This method also works for all titles in WWE 2K25’s Universe Mode.

Return To Superstar Mode

By having the Money in the Bank briefcase allocated to your WWE wrestler, they now have the ability to revert to Superstar status and cash in their Money in the Bank contract by following these steps:

1. First, ensure that your wrestler has successfully won the Money in the Bank ladder match or briefcase at a PPV event.
2. Second, wait for an opportune moment during a match when it appears that your designated Superstar can capitalize on their contract.
3. Third, instruct your wrestler to signal the referee by raising the briefcase above their head.
4. Fourth, the referee will then confirm the cash-in and announce to the crowd that the Money in the Bank contract has been activated.
5. Fifth, your Superstar can now execute their signature move or a new strategy to pin their opponent and win the match, thus capturing the WWE championship.

  • Click Next Show to end the current show.
  • Then, select Options and switch back to Superstar Mode.
  • Reselect your chosen WWE Superstar and Accept.
  • Select Manage Superstar.
  • Your wrestler can now Cash in the Money In The Bank.
  • You can announce the Cash-In so you can face the champion in a fair match, Mid-Match Cash-In enter during the middle of a match, and turn it into a Triple Threat, or Post-Match Cash-In to take advantage of a fatigued champion.
  • Make your choice and select Play.
  • Select your match and MITB cash-in to fight for the title on the next show.

Cashing In Money In The Bank With Classic Mode

Attempting to redeem the Money in the Bank (MITB) contract in classic mode can be quite challenging due to its unclear process and the necessity of two wrestlers having an ongoing rivalry within WWE 2K25. Here’s a step-by-step guide to successfully cash in the MITB briefcase and challenge for the

1. First, ensure that your wrestler possesses the Money in the Bank contract. This can be obtained by winning a Money in the Bank ladder match during a pay-per-view event.

2. Once you have the contract, wait for a suitable opportunity. Ideally, this should occur when the WWE champion is involved in a match or is otherwise distracted.

3. When an opportune moment arises, press the appropriate button combination to initiate the cash-in sequence. This will trigger a cutscene where your wrestler approaches the champion and challenges them for the title.

4. If successful, you’ll enter the title match against the champion. Win this bout to claim the WWE championship for yourself!

5. Remember, in classic mode, having an ongoing rivalry with another wrestler is a requirement for cashing in your MITB briefcase. This means that before attempting to cash in, make sure you and your chosen rival have built up enough animosity to meet the game’s criteria.

  • Before starting Tonight’s Show select, Edit Matches.
  • Delete or edit one of the match slots on the card.
  • Choose a one-on-one match.
  • Press the R3/RS button to switch the title match on.
  • Press the accept button and choose MITB.
  • Now, select Save.
  • You can either choose to play with a chosen wrestler or simulate and pick your winner.
  • On the Home Screen, select Edit Shows.
  • Then, select the show your MITB holder is on.
  • Select Edit Championships & MITB.
  • Select your MITB holder and select the target championship.
  • Then select Save.
  • On the main screen, select Rivalries.
  • Select an empty box.
  • For Rivalry Type, select One On One.
  • Select your Money in the Bank holder and the current champion.
  • Select the next show that your MITB holder is on.
  • Before the next show, you can select to Announce Cash-In for a fair match.
  • Or, if you want to try a post-match attack before cashing in, you’ll need to create a championship match on the show.
  • Create a title match with the current champion, then select Edit Match.
  • Customize Participants.
  • Now, select your MITB Holder vs champion
  • Switch to Free Mode with the Y/Triangle button.

More rivalry actions become available if the feud between the two wrestlers continues to intensify.

  • Click in the R Stick to customize rivalries and select Cash-In for one of the MITB Rivarly Actions available.
  • Select Finalize to save the Rivalry Action.
  • Universe Mode will select a challenger for the champion with your MITB holder waiting to strike.
  • Select Save.

In contrast to the Superstar Mode, I can select my controller for one of the starting competitors and purposefully let them lose to expedite the game. But, keep in mind that I’ll only have control over the victor when it comes to defending against the Money in the Bank challenger.

  • Select Start the Show, then simulate matches you wish to skip, and watch your Money in the Bank actions unfold.
