So, it seems that in the last few hours, a staggering 30 billion Shiba Inu meme coins have been shuttled around like they’re the latest trendy accessory. I mean, who knew that virtual dogs could be so popular? 🐶💸
25.5 billion SHIB on the move
According to our favorite blockchain gossip column, Etherscan, there have been some rather impressive transfers—one or two billion SHIB at a time. I can’t help but wonder if these transactions come with a complimentary dog collar. Some of the smaller transactions were still hefty, moving a mere 340 million SHIB. You know, just pocket change for the crypto elite.
The big players in this game? Oh, just a casual 7,923,930,269 SHIB, 5,515,347,063 SHIB, and 2,178,586,538 SHIB. You know, the kind of numbers that make my bank account weep. And of course, these transactions are linked to the big boys of the crypto world, like OKX and Binance. Because why not? If you’re going to play with virtual puppies, you might as well do it in style.
Now, while the price of SHIB is doing its best impression of a rollercoaster, the whales are out there, gobbling up the second largest meme coin like it’s a buffet. Some are even selling billions of SHIB, which is just a fancy way of saying they’re having a yard sale for their digital pets.
SHIB team responds to dirty crypto players
In a plot twist worthy of a daytime soap opera, the SHIB team’s marketing lead, who goes by the name Lucie (because who needs a real name in crypto?), decided to address the shady characters in the cryptocurrency market. Apparently, there are folks out there with “schizophrenic behavior” who bend the rules like they’re made of rubber. Sounds like a fun party!
Lucie insists that the Shiba Inu team is above such lowly tactics. They’re all about “building, improving, and keeping others safe.” Which is great, but I can’t help but picture them in hard hats, building a digital doghouse while the rest of the crypto world throws virtual pies at each other.
“I’m proud of our team because we never fall to such low behavior as maliciously targeting others. We always focus on building, improving, and doing everything we can to keep others safe. Meanwhile, I see many people—even entire teams—targeting us and spreading lies that suit…”
