Watching Jujutsu Kaisen unfold, I’ve been really impressed with how Gege Akutami has built on the Cursed Energy system. The author keeps introducing incredibly creative and powerful abilities for the sorcerers, and honestly, it’s not surprising that some of them are almost unbelievably strong – especially those we’ve seen towards the end of the story. There are a lot of amazing powers out there, but a handful truly stand above the rest as the most overpowered.
Boogie Woogie
- User: Aoi Todo
Boogie Woogie is a cursed technique used by Aoi Todo. In its simplest form, it’s helpful but not overwhelmingly strong. It lets Todo switch places with anything that has enough cursed energy – he activates it by clapping. He can even swap other objects or people, making it very adaptable. However, an upgraded version of Boogie Woogie makes it incredibly powerful.
During the battle in Shinjuku, Todo lost his left hand and received a Vibraslap in its place, and his Boogie Woogie technique was significantly altered. The updated version lets him teleport up to 50 times per second. By using a Binding Vow, he can customize the technique further – either reducing the number of teleports for a longer range and specific targets, or increasing the number of teleports while shortening the range. This makes the ability incredibly powerful and somewhat unbalanced.
Deadly Sentencing
- User: Hiromi Higuruma
Hiromi Higuruma’s Domain Expansion, Deadly Sentencing, is incredibly strong. It essentially puts his opponent on trial, where any fighting is prohibited. If Higuruma wins the trial, he can either steal the opponent’s cursed technique or, more severely, sentence them to death and instantly kill them with his Executioner’s sword.
Idle Death Gamble
- User: Kinji Hakari
Kinji Hakari’s Domain Expansion, Idle Death Gamble, is an incredibly strong ability based on the game pachinko. Its effectiveness relies on luck – if Hakari hits a ‘jackpot,’ he gains limitless cursed energy and complete invulnerability for over four minutes. He can even hit another jackpot as the effect ends, and it becomes easier to do so, making him nearly impossible to defeat if he continues to get lucky.
Authentic Mutual Love
- User: Yuta Okkotsu
Yuta Okkotsu’s Domain Expansion, Authentic Mutual Love, is exceptionally strong. Within it, a vast number of katanas are arranged, each imbued with a cursed technique he’s previously copied. Yuta doesn’t know which technique is stored in each sword, but he can pick one up and immediately use its power against his opponent. The katana then reappears, allowing him to reuse any copied technique endlessly.
He can further enhance his Domain Expansion’s guaranteed hit by using any of the techniques he’s copied, making it an exceptionally powerful ability – arguably one of the strongest in the series. This is especially true considering his already vast arsenal of skills, including Dismantle, Cleave, Thin Ice Breaker, Jacob’s Ladder, and many more.
Summon: Mahoraga
- User: Megumi Fushiguro, Yuka Okkotsu
Mahoraga is a powerful Shikigami summoned using the 10 Shadows Technique, often called the Divine General. It’s incredibly difficult to control – no one who’s used the technique has ever fully mastered it. What makes Mahoraga so dangerous is its ability to quickly adapt to anything, making it nearly impossible to defeat.
The key to defeating it is to destroy it with one powerful attack before it can adapt – this adaptation often happens within just a few hits, usually around three, though the Limitless ability takes about five due to its intricate nature. Additionally, it wields a sword imbued with positive energy capable of instantly eliminating curses with a single strike.
Hollow Purple
- User: Gojo Satoru
Hollow Purple is arguably Gojo’s most powerful technique. It combines his abilities to manipulate space (Limitless) with both Blue and Red, creating a devastating attack. This ‘Purple’ form can completely erase anything it touches, and its power is immense. Even Sukuna, the King of Curses, has acknowledged that a full-power Hollow Purple, used at close range, could defeat him.

Malevolent Shrine
- User: Ryomen Sukuna
Malevolent Shrine is the special territory Sukuna creates using his Domain Expansion. Unlike most domain expansions, it’s an ‘Open Barrier’ type, meaning Sukuna can destroy anything around him with slashes – even things without cursed energy – without needing a closed space.
His attacks are unbelievably powerful. Almost no one can survive the Malevolent Shrine. Even those strong enough to endure it would still struggle immensely. It’s a truly inescapable, god-like technique.
Divine Flame
- User: Ryomen Sukuna
Okay, so Sukuna’s Divine Flame is seriously one of his most devastating attacks! It’s not something he can just use whenever, though. He has to first hit someone with both Cleave and Dismantle. I always thought of it like preparing a meal – you need to do the chopping (Cleave & Dismantle) before you can turn on the heat (Divine Flame)! And when he does unleash it, it’s not just regular fire. We’re talking instant vaporization and massive explosions – it’s like a thermobaric blast, completely wiping everything out. It’s terrifyingly powerful!
When Sukuna is outside his domain, a restriction forces him to only use his Divine Flames on one target at a time. But within his domain, he can unleash them on everything, instantly turning it to ash. This power allowed him to defeat Mahoraga with a single attack.
Unlimited Void
- User: Gojo Satoru
Okay, as a huge Jujutsu Kaisen fan, I have to say Gojo’s Unlimited Void is just ridiculously powerful – easily the most broken Domain Expansion in the series! Seriously, if he connects with it, it’s practically an instant win. It floods the opponent’s brain with so much information they just completely shut down. It’s almost guaranteed to work, and honestly, that’s a huge part of why Gojo is considered the strongest sorcerer right now. Even Sukuna, who’s unbelievably strong, couldn’t handle it – we saw that in Shinjuku! Just a few seconds of Unlimited Void destroyed Sukuna’s Domain and actually made him bleed – it was insane!
Comedian
- User: Fumihiko Takaba
Fumihiko Takaba’s cursed technique, Comedian, is incredibly powerful in Jujutsu Kaisen. Basically, he can make anything he imagines become real, but only if he finds it funny and genuinely believes it’s humorous. This technique has almost endless potential, making it exceptionally strong.
He possesses incredible abilities, including instant healing from any injury without needing a special reversal technique, and the power to create objects from nothing. This makes his technique exceptionally powerful. If he masters his abilities, he can even effectively ‘reset’ his life after death, like loading from a saved game.
