Target is continuing the celebration of Pokémon’s 30th anniversary with another wave of new merchandise! Pokémon officially turns 30 in 2026, and The Pokémon Company and Nintendo are marking the occasion with a variety of events. For video game fans, this includes the return of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen on the Nintendo Switch, and the exciting announcement of the next generation of Pokémon games – Pokémon Winds and Waves – coming in 2027.
A major part of the celebration for Pokémon’s 30th anniversary is a special collection at Target. Target released exclusive Pokémon products in early May, including clothing, a themed keyboard, and even Pokémon-themed Pop-Tarts, which fans had been requesting for a long time. As anticipated, these items sold out quickly, leaving many fans disappointed. However, there’s good news: Target has confirmed a second release of the Pokémon collection, featuring new items inspired by the original three generations of Pokémon games.
Pokemon x Target Drop 2 Items Revealed
The second collection from the Pokemon x Target collaboration will feature over 40 items, including clothing, accessories, collectibles, travel gear, and summer necessities, with plenty of hidden details for dedicated fans to discover. The collection launches in most Target stores when they open on Saturday, June 6th, and online at Target.com at 8am Central Time. While the complete list of products hasn’t been released yet, we have a sneak peek at some of the items Pokemon fans can expect.

The collection features puzzles based on the original 151 Pokémon from the Kanto region, with each puzzle piece sized to match the Pokémon it represents. Fans can also find graphic tees inspired by the Pokédex, featuring hidden designs and nods to classic Pokémon. Other items include a backpack, waterproof speakers shaped like Dive Balls, towels featuring Snorlax and Poké Balls, and summer accessories inspired by Water-type Pokémon.
The first release of Pokémon merchandise included a popular $129.99 jacket inspired by the Kanto region, and now two more jackets are coming with the next release. These new jackets will feature designs based on the Johto and Hoenn regions. However, you’ll only be able to purchase them online – so you won’t find them in Target stores.
There were some issues with people buying up all the Pokemon Pop-Tarts and other popular items from the first release, but Target is making changes for the next sale. Now, shoppers can only buy one of each item, whether they’re shopping online or in stores. This should help more Pokemon fans get the items they’re looking for. Plus, starting June 7th at 8am Central Time, people who didn’t get a jacket will have a second chance to pre-order one. These will be delivered later this year and include the original Kanto region jacket from the first release.
