To unlock the Resort Casual Outfit, you need to finish all 23 challenges in the “Time to Die” mission within the game 007 First Light. Don’t worry if that sounds like a lot – we’ve provided full coverage to help you succeed and complete every challenge.
Here’s a guide to completing all the challenges in the order they appear. We’ve also included detailed help for the trickiest ones, such as completing encounters without fighting or remaining undetected.
Time to Die Challenges Overview in 007 First Light
| Challenge | Description | How to Complete |
|---|---|---|
| Pacifist: Time to Die | Complete “Wraith” and “Unlicensed to Kill”. | These are the two pacifist challenges, where you will want to sneak past enemies instead of killing them. You can find more information below. |
| Ghost: Time to Die | Complete “The Quiet Man” and “Panther”. | These are also stealth-related challenges, and you can find dedicated guides for those challenges below. |
| Assault: Time to Die | Complete “Lights Out” and “Who’s Counting?” | These are both challenges in the final shootout area, and you can check out the guide below to find more information. |
| Pool Inspector | Stealth your way into the Serenity Space. | You can climb up to Serenity Space via the pool’s ledge, and we have a guide covering that here. |
| Yogi | Enter Hung Villa as “the yoga instructor”. | You need to enter Tranquility Cave, steal the key from the yoga instructor, and grab Ramon’s blue mat. We have a guide covering this here. |
| Zen No More | Change the music in Tranquility Cave. | The music can be changed by interacting with the laptop inside the storage room in Tranquility Cave, which you need the key for, and we have a guide for that here. |
| Bathroom Bomb | Knock out Ramon’s security detail in the bathroom from the roof window above. | Sneak into Ramon’s Hung Villa by climbing the cliff to the left of the guarded entrance, and head to the roof. Hack the skylight, and use a takedown on the guard below. |
| The Quiet Man | Enter the Hung Villa and confront Ramon without being detected. | This stealth section is more in-depth, and you can click here to find a walkthrough of this step, as you must avoid all guards, including disguises and takedowns. |
| Party Crasher | Enter Ellis’ party by stealing a party flyer. | Approach the guards protecting Ellis, and two women will walk out. You can distract them with a gadget to steal their party flyers, then head into the party. |
| Blanc the Brut | Get rid of the Velvet Lantern bartender through intimidation or persuasion. | Read the menu at the bar, then talk with the bartender and pick any dialogue option. |
| Key Master | Get the Ocean view bar key from the storage room without being detected. | Simply crouch behind the red toolbox and activate the hose so you can navigate around the guards. |
| Give Me a Minute | Let Lorca stabilize before investigating the Emperor Villa. | When you’re on the resort chair having a drink, just don’t bother getting up until the challenge pops. |
| Silent Night | Resort night: Take out 5 enemies with a silenced gun without being detected. | You’ll want to complete this section during the Emperor Villa section. Use your silenced pistol and aim for the head when enemies are alone and distracted by gadgets. Use the Laser Strap on enemies with helmets before shooting them. |
| Panther | Reach the Emperor Villa’s roof without being detected. | Emperor Villa’s roof is crawling with enemies, but we know how to get there, and you can use our walkthrough below to learn how. |
| Phantom | Reach Ellis in the wine cellar without being detected. | This requires total stealth, and it’s simple, so long as you follow our walkthrough below, which also includes the “Unlicensed to Kill” challenge. |
| Unlicensed to Kill | Rescue Ellis without killing any Webb mercs. | When facing the two guards in the cellar, you can shoot their legs to knock them out, which will allow you to get this challenge. We have a walkthrough below with the “Phantom” challenge. |
| Wraith | Reach Lorca without being detected. | You need Smoke Pods and the Novice difficulty for this challenge, and we have a walkthrough below to follow. We found an exploit where, as soon as you enter the cutscene after running to Lorca, you can restart the checkpoint to get this challenge. |
| Two Birds, One Stone | Kill one or more enemies with a single shot using Greenway. | Start running down the hill, and enemies will approach from below. You can use the Q-Lens to highlight a crane, which Greenway can shoot to kill around 4 enemies. |
| Thief | Steal 3 of Greenway’s kills during the shootout in the quarry. | When you have a gun, wait for the Greenway symbol to appear on an enemy, then use Focus to headshot them before Greenway does, and repeat this 3 times. It’ll be easy against enemies not wearing helmets. |
| Who’s Counting? | Get more kills than Greenway in the quarry blitz shootout. | For this challenge, just kill everything without hesitation. Use your guns and make sure you get more kills than Greenway, which won’t be hard. |
| Marble Madness | Kill 5 Webb mercs with marble slabs in the quarry. | Look above you during the shootout sections, and you’ll find marble slabs hanging that can be shot down by shooting the yellow winch. |
| You Talk Too Much | Throw the Webb merc over the railing of the mining truck. | When you climb the ladder to reach the mining truck, hold R2 on the man standing there to toss him over the ledge. |
| Lights Out | Knock out the power and kill all the lights. | When you take the sniper after driving the mining truck, look in the distance and aim for the light towers, and shoot the yellow boxes. There are a few far away. |
How to Complete the Panther Challenge in 007 First Light
When you begin the mission to enter the Emperor Villa, stealth is key. You can eliminate enemies, but only do so when absolutely necessary to avoid raising the alarm. For example, we only defeated the first three guards, as you can see in the video.
Stay close to the right-hand walls of the villa until you get to the stairs. Then, quickly run to the left to get back into the tall grass. At the stairs, you’ll find an air conditioner you can hack to create a smoke screen. Use the cover of the smoke to run up the stairs and finish the challenge.
How to Complete the Phantom & Unlicensed to Kill Challenge in 007 First Light
Once you’ve finished the rooftop cutscene at the Emperor Villa, you’ll need to get to the basement. The catch is, you have to do it without defeating any enemies or being spotted. The video shows exactly how we managed to complete both of these challenges in a single run.
Start by climbing down through the open window from the roof while the guard isn’t looking. Then, open the closed door to your left. Duck behind the wall, and look up – you’ll see a ceiling fan. Hack it to create a distraction for the two guards.
If you’re discovered, quickly run and hide in the tall grass. There’s a ladder in the middle of the room that goes down to the basement. Once you’re inside, open the first set of doors, but be prepared – two guards and Ellis are waiting behind the second set.
To complete the ‘Unlicensed to Kill’ challenge, you need to shoot the guards in the legs to incapacitate them without killing them. This challenge will unlock after a cutscene with Ellis and trigger the ‘Phantom’ challenge.
How to Complete the Wraith Challenge in 007 First Light
Okay, so this challenge is tough. Seriously, if you’re going to try it, I highly recommend starting a new game from the “Find Theresa Lorca” checkpoint on the main menu, and definitely choose “Novice” difficulty. Trust me, you absolutely need the Smoke Pods – they’re essential for sneaking past the enemies and making any progress. You just won’t be able to do it without them!
I used a Smoke Pod to quickly get past the first group of enemies, then waited for a lone enemy to move away from its patrol route. I stayed hidden behind a box until another single enemy approached, and then I silently took him down.
The last two guards – one hiding behind a chair and the other behind the bar – both deployed smoke grenades. This created enough cover for me to quickly run to the objective, triggering the cutscene and completing the challenge!
We discovered a way to bypass a challenge by quickly skipping to the cutscene and restarting from the checkpoint. This allowed players to complete the challenge without actually playing it, but it might be fixed in a future update.
