BLAST.tv Austin CS2 Major Invites Revealed After Latest Valve Ranking

The most recent update for the monthly Valve Regional Rankings is out, deciding which Counter-Strike 2 squads get invited to the forthcoming BLAST.tv Austin CS2 Major tournament. The rankings disclosed today will decide which teams receive direct invites to either Stage 3 or Stage 2, and which ones must battle it out in the Major Regional Qualifiers to compete in Stage 1.

After several months of hard work, the teams who’ve secured their place in the Major now also secure a share of the substantial revenue from the sticker sales.

All CS2 Teams Invited to the BLAST.tv Austin Major

16 teams have been granted direct entry into the BLAST.tv Austin Major due to securing a high enough position in their regional rankings. Eight of these teams will begin in Stage 3, bypassing the initial two rounds using the Swiss system format, and eight will start in Stage 2, avoiding only the first round of the Swiss stage.

Major Regional Qualifiers (MRQ)

Six qualifying tournaments, known as the Major Regional Qualifiers, will decide the 16 teams who earn a spot in Stage 1 of the Major competition.

Below you’ll find the breakdown of teams advancing to Stage 1 through MRQs, along with the squads participating in each region’s MRQ competition.

It’s important to mention that the teams invited to the BLAST Austin CS2 Major have been selected based on today’s rankings, but please keep in mind these invitations could still be modified before they become official. The Major Regional Qualifiers are set to start within two weeks, from April 14th to 17th.
