How to Enter the Security Office in 007 First Light

In the 007 First Light mission “Wave of the Future,” there’s a unique challenge called “Surrender.” It involves willingly giving yourself up to a guard. But it’s not possible during every fight – it’s a hidden method for completing the mission and upgrading your ID Bracelet.

Sometimes, this is actually the simplest way to proceed – you can simply go to the Security Office with minimal difficulty (though things change once you get inside, which we’ll cover later). See our guide to learn how to surrender yourself!

How to Surrender in 007 First Light (Surrender Challenge Walkthrough)

Okay, so once I got the objective to upgrade my ID bracelet in the Security Office, I needed to head down to the Legal Department. That’s where I could overhear a conversation that kicked off a new little goal – getting the Security Memo. First thing to do for that? Read the memo, obviously!

First, use your Q-Watch to disrupt the photocopier in the Lega Department – this will distract the guard. Once they’re occupied, quietly move to the right and enter the cubicle. Inside, you’ll find two people. Listen to their conversation, and when they start talking, quickly hack the charging station.

After successfully hacking the system and getting the NPCs to look the other way, you can quietly slip past to the cubicle on the right and find the security memo. Once you’ve read it, you’ll either be caught trying to leave, or you can sneak out and find a security guard near the break room table.

If you talk to Webb Security, a new dialogue choice will become available: “I am David Somerset.” Choosing this option starts the Surrender challenge and gives you a direct path to the Security Office. Be warned though – once inside, you’ll have to fight three enemies, so get ready for a fight!

Although completing the Surrender challenge is a simple way to reach the Security Office, it’s not your only option. You can also access it by completing either the Attention to Detail or Snoop Around challenges, which will unlock those challenges for you as well.
