Okay, so No Man’s Sky just dropped a huge update called the Swarm Update, and honestly, it’s one of the biggest they’ve ever released since the game came out. No Man’s Sky has had a ton of big updates over the years, but this one feels different. It’s seriously changing things up with this new enemy group, the Hive of Glass, and how we all contribute to events as a community.
The latest update to No Man’s Sky introduced a new creature-fighting mini-game, which is a fun addition but doesn’t drastically change how the game is played. However, the Swarm Update brings a much bigger change with the Hive of Glass, a new enemy faction players will encounter throughout the galaxy. Players are now sorted into one of three factions after completing a personality test, and the entire community can participate in a large-scale effort to track each faction’s progress in battling the Hive.
