In Romestead, you can locate the large owl by tracking its shadow. This owl is the first boss you’ll need to beat to continue the main storyline. How To Find The Giant Owl In Romestead
Soon after beginning a new game, players will notice a large owl’s shadow and can choose to follow it. This might happen while you’re simply exploring and gathering resources, or even during a challenging fight with enemies like wolves.
When you see the large bird’s shadow moving, track its path until it stops – that’s where you’ll find its nest. If you lose sight of the shadow, try to remember which way the owl was flying so you can search that area later.
The location is called Guardian of Minerva’s Nest and you will find three eggs there.
The map will show you where to find it, so you don’t have to fight the boss right away if you’re not ready. After you defeat the owl once, you can come back often to continue collecting rare materials.
How To Defeat The Giant Owl In Romestead
To start the battle with the giant owl, you need to destroy its three eggs first. When the owl comes near, a dark, circular shadow will show you where it’s going to land. Make sure to move out of that shadow to avoid taking damage.
Defeat the large owl by casting spells or using close-range weapons. Because the boss chases you and uses area-of-effect attacks, hitting it from a distance is very effective.
When the owl’s health is about halfway down, the battle enters a second phase. It will start to rain, and the owl will become charged with lightning, making its attacks much stronger. It will also begin flying around, attempting to land on your head. Be careful to stay out of the shadows, or you’ll lose the fight.
Okay, so when that owl lands, it’s going to try and knock me back with its wings and do a lot of damage, so I need to be ready for that. Plus, lightning will start striking randomly, which is super dangerous, so I have to watch out for those flashes. It’ll keep repeating these attacks, so I need to stay focused and just keep hitting the owl until it finally goes down!
In Romestead, open the chest to find rare materials and the Guardian’s Eye. Remember to hit the chest to claim its contents!
Bring the Guardian’s Eye back to your base and place it on the altar. This will give you access to new blueprints for your station and a recipe for a new armor set.
