To build excitement for the upcoming release of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced this summer, the game is partnering with Red Bull and several extreme sports stars. They’re creating a unique series of challenges based on the game’s iconic ‘Leap of Faith’ move. This collaboration is just the latest in a string of creative marketing efforts for the game.
It’s hard to say definitively which Assassin’s Creed game is the best, but Black Flag is consistently a top contender. Originally released as the fourth main game in the series, it’s been a fan favorite for years. Ubisoft listened to those fans and announced a remake, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, in April 2026, with a release date just two months later on July 9th. Since then, Ubisoft has done some creative marketing, including a $500,000 treasure hunt to build excitement for the remake. The Assassin’s Creed series is known for its unique marketing campaigns, like impressive parkour demonstrations, but this latest promotion might be their boldest yet.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced and Red Bull Break a World Record
Okay, so Red Bull just did something insane! They teamed up with the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced team and flew four of us – Molly Carlson, Pavel Petkus, Lilou Ruel, and me, Dominic Tommasso – out to the Bahamas. We took on a real-life ‘Leap of Faith’ challenge, and it kept getting crazier! The video is about ten minutes long and shows us diving off a cliff, then a pirate ship, then a sand dune. The final jump? An 18-meter Leap of Faith straight into a giant bale of hay! And get this – my jump, 18.1 meters, is officially a world record for the highest dive ever into a hay bale, all thanks to the Assassin’s Creed theme. It was wild!

The Assassin’s Creed franchise has a history of using real-life parkour and daring stunts in its marketing, and the campaign for Assassin’s Creed Shadows might be its most ambitious yet. Ubisoft teamed up with Red Bull to feature parkour demonstrations and ‘Leaps of Faith’ across Japan. Previously, Assassin’s Creed Unity collaborated with American Ninja Warrior to create a challenging parkour course inspired by the game.
Please don’t try to recreate these stunts yourself! But it’s cool to see Assassin’s Creed do something different with its ads by featuring real people performing impressive feats. The game series has always played with the idea that the conflict between Assassins and Templars could be happening secretly in our world, and these kinds of videos blur the line between fiction and reality, showing fans that some of the amazing things they see in the games are actually possible. We’re excited to see what other incredible stunts will be showcased when Assassin’s Creed Hexe is officially unveiled.
There’s a lot of excitement surrounding Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, and fans are thrilled about this upcoming remake. It’s seen as a return to the series’ origins, shedding some of the role-playing game features found in newer titles, while also promising clever improvements to an already popular game. The recent partnership with Red Bull is just one example of how fans are eagerly anticipating the comeback of this beloved Assassin’s Creed installment.
