How to Reach the Maximum Score in the Ring Master
I love that even a challenging game like Mina the Hollower knows when you need a little break! It’s not just a super-tight, rewarding Soulslike – Yacht Club Games really thought about fun, and included some awesome arcade-style minigames. The Ring Master is a perfect example – it’s a blast and a great way to step back from the intensity for a bit.

How to Find the Ring Master
To find this minigame, leave Ossex through the south gate and head straight south into the Southern Outskirts. Turn right when you see a screen with a bouncing purple flower, and go into the cave nearby. Inside the cave, use the purple flowers to jump over gaps until you reach the other side. Continue along this path until it ends, and you’ll arrive in the Sandfalls region.
From the main checkpoint, go straight down to enter Sifted Sands, a dangerous area filled with quicksand and explosive carts. You’ll need to blow up these carts to create a path. However, we’re heading to the right side of the screen. Go towards the eastern edge and defeat the minotaur guarding the way. Then, jump into the hole to reach a hidden cave – you’re now in the Ring Master’s arena!
How to Reach the Maximum Score in the Ring Master
The Ring Master is a fast-paced minigame where you quickly jump or burrow into bright, moving circles. It seems easy, but it actually takes good timing and a bit of luck to succeed. To win the prize, you have to reach 5,000 points before time runs out.
To begin the challenge, talk to the Ring Master and pay the 100 Bone entry fee. Don’t worry too much about the cost, though – if you do well, you’ll get a good amount of your money back after each attempt.
When tackling this challenge, it’s best to forget about getting a perfect score. If you miss a ring and lose your scoring bonus, don’t worry! You can quickly get back on track and still reach the 5,000-point goal. I actually made three mistakes during my winning attempt and still finished with a comfortable score.
To get a high score, remember that hitting circles one after another increases your score multiplier dramatically. Pay special attention to the yellow circles – you need to land inside them twice to make them disappear, so aim for the center each time. Luckily, the game often places these yellow circles near green ones, letting you hit both in quick succession – watch out for those opportunities!
The key to success is staying calm. If you miss a ring, don’t panic and try to correct everything at once. Instead, just focus on clearing the next ring as it comes – one at a time. Trying to hit multiple rings quickly will make you lose control of Mina.

After reaching 5,000 points, the Ring Master will give you the Tunneling Codex, a special item that greatly improves Mina’s movement abilities. This charm lets her quickly burrow through the air repeatedly – you just hold down the action button – and she doesn’t even need to be standing on the ground first. It’s a helpful addition for exploring later stages of the game.
